Black gartered slip and thong - chemise discontinued by DreamGirl - review by freud13

I ordered this black gartered slip and thong by DreamGirl because I loved the way that it looked. When I got it in the mail I was not disappointed. This piece arrived on a hanger with a plastic bag over it.


This piece is well made for the price. It is a slip with garter and a matching thong. I ordered the XL and am a 16-18 size. The slip was snug on me but did fit quite well. I have larger hips so someone in the same size range but smaller hips might find the XL to be a bit loose. The slip went right under my butt so this is not a piece that I would feel comfortable wearing out, but others might.

The garters are detachable which I like because I do not always want to wear stockings. I tried this outfit with and without stockings. It looked great both ways. The garter hardware is all plastic and seemed very sturdy. You can lengthen the garters from 3" to 6" depending on your leg length and the height of the stockings you are wearing.



The thong is the only reason I am giving this outfit four stars instead of five. The thong has a tiny triangle of a cotton pantyliner. I personally like a larger fabric area on my thongs. As a larger girl I can say that this thong is absolutely not flattering in any shape or form for those of us who are carrying some extra junk in the trunk. However, I paired pair of black lace panties with this (also from EF) and they worked well. The nice thing about ordering this slip in black is that you can pair it with whatever pair of panties you want to.



The slip has adjustable shoulder straps that stay in place. The back of the chemise is entirely hook and eye closure. I ended up putting this on over my head and shimmying it into place. It was easily removed by a partner during sex, but when I tried it on it was quite entertaining to get it back over my head. As stated above this might be easier if it is a bit looser on you. The edges of the slip have black lace attached. I didn't like the lace as much, but my partner sure did. This outfit was a big hit.



Normally if I order something in XL or 1X the cups on the item do not fit my breasts. I was shocked at how perfectly these fit my breasts. I don't know if it's the cut of the slip or the adjustable shoulder straps but no complaints from me. The underwire are sturdy but comfortable on the slip. As you can see in the photo below the cups are sheer which I loved and made me feel sexy. The slip and thong are both 92% nylon and 8% spandex. It is recommended that you hand wash and air dry this garment and I would recommend following those instructions due to the delicate lace and all of the hook and eye closures.

I thought the slip was pretty snug, but it did have a flattering corset like fit. I did not like the thong and that was why I gave this only 4 stars. However, I felt like a sexy siren when I put this on with some stockings and heels. This piece has an almost retro movie star vibe to it. I found it to be quite comfortable to sit in this while waiting for my partner to get home from work. It also stores easily in my closet on the hanger that it came with. This is a piece that I will consider ordering again in a different color.

This outfit makes me feel like a sexy siren. This is the first outfit of this kind that I found to be comfortable and easy to wear. I see more sexy lingerie in my future. This one was very flattering for all my curves.
