I do not have particularly sensitive nipples. When they’re lightly stimulated, it just doesn’t do much for me. I have one other pair of nipple clamps, and I enjoy the pinching sensation they can offer. When I saw the Wide Tips Nipple Clamp Set, I was excited to give this toy a try. These clamps function much like clothespins; you open the clamps, insert your nipples, and let go to receive a pinching sensation. Once applied, the chain connecting the two clamps will hang down your chest. The chain offers many great possibilities to intensify the sensation. You could add a weight to the chain to pull the nipples down or simply use the chain as a sadistic leash! The chain is long enough for me to hold in my mouth while the clamps are attached, giving my nipples an extra tug, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Unfortunately, the chain is not long enough for me to wrap around my neck like a makeshift bib. I tried attaching the clamps to my clit and labia. However, I couldn’t get enough purchase on my arousal-slicked skin to make this use very effective.

The clamps are made from metal. This set will likely last you a long time since the metal feels very sturdy and durable. The tips of the clamps and one side of the tongs in the back are covered by rubber sheaths. The rubber protects your sensitive nipples and fingers from the sharper metal underneath. I have used clothespins in the past as nipple toys. In comparison, these clamps offer far more comfort and the rubber reduces the likelihood of the clamps accidentally slipping off.

The metal chain that connects the clamps reminds me of a chain dog collar or leash, which gives this product a more rugged look, adding to the mood of a play scene. The chain is 16 inches long, which was a good length for my purposes. When the chain swung back and forth, it sent rhythmic tugs to the nipple clamps, which felt wonderful. While I’m not up for using weights on the chain yet, I know that will be a great possibility down the road.

The wide tips of the clamps distributed the pressure. Unlike most nipple toys that cause a more pinpointed, sometimes painful pinching sensation, I found the wide tips quite comfortable.

The rubber coverings occasionally slid off. While it was easy enough to slip the covers back on, I worry that I will lose the rubber tips after many uses.



My favorite feature of this toy was the variable tightness. The clamps have a pin in them that adjusts the tightness of the clamps. The pin is basically a screw that pushes the clamps apart, which loosens the clamps by preventing them from closing beyond a set point. At the tightest setting, with the pin unscrewed, the clamps were intense. I was not able to leave the clamps on for extended periods of time. However, those who are into more pain will likely enjoy this setting. At the loosest setting, with the pin screwed in all the way, the clamps were too loose. At this setting, the clamps fell off with the brush of my hand. I found the perfect, Goldilocks tightness with the pin screwed in halfway. This ensured that I could wear these clamps for extended periods of time, enjoying the sensation the clamps had to offer, without feeling overwhelmed by the pinching pain. At this tightness, I could tug on the metal chain without the clamps falling off.

When I use these clamps on my nipples, they don’t come into contact with bodily fluids, so feel no need to clean them. I simply store the clamps in the resealable plastic bag they arrived in. When I tried these clamps on my labia, I made sure to use toy wipes to clean up my arousal. Since this product is metal, I was careful to completely dry the toy before storing it. If you choose to wash this toy with soap and water, I would recommend removing the rubber coverings until the toy is fully dry, so the rubber doesn’t trap water and damage the toy.

This toy arrived in a resealable plastic bag. While the bag isn’t ideal for gift giving, it does provide a great place to store the clamps after use. No instructions were included, nor were they needed.
