The zone sex toy review

The Zone provides moderate clitoral stimulation, and surprisingly little g-spot stimulation until the moment of orgasm. Upon reaching orgasm, though, I found it sent me wildly over the edge!
Silicone material, excellent stimulation during orgasm, easy to insert and operate
Runs on watch batteries

extremely useful review
Until now, I have completely avoided adding any toys that run on watch batteries to my collection, fearing they would just have enough power. However, the overwhelming popularity of this style of toy really caught my attention; and when I saw The Zone, the funky shape and color were just too irresistible to pass up!

The Zone|The Zone is constructed of soft and silky silicone, which is comfortable, flexible, and also easy to clean. I chose the copper color because it was just too cool! The bullet is single speed and actually a lot more powerful than I expected from something that runs on 3 watch batteries, though it is definitely not going to catapult you off the bed with its power.

With a little lube, The Zone was very easy to insert, and just a little maneuvering had the outside portion resting nicely on my clitoris. Again, the vibrations were adequate enough to get the job done, but not outstanding. I really did not feel much in the way of internal or g-spot stimulation|G-Spot 101 Guide from this toy at first, though—it just did not seem firm enough or did not seem to vibrate strongly enough internally. However, my opinion changed drastically when I did hit orgasm—despite the mild vibrations, the orgasm from this toy almost sent me through the roof! Just something about the way it gently tickled that special spot truly put me in “The Zone”!

The Zone only has one speed, which is not mind-blowing, but probably enough to put most people over the edge. The bullet is turned on and off by a simple push-button on the top, and very easy to operate. It is fairly quiet, though not completely silent.

Cleanup is very easy on this toy, due to the silicone material and removable bullet. However, I did find the bullet rather difficult to remove with lube still on the toy, and it took a fair amount of tugging and twisting before I finally got it out.

All in all, I was less than amazed by The Zone leading up to orgasm; but when the time came, it gave me one of the most powerful orgasms I have had in a long time. For this reason, I am giving it 4 stars, and would definitely recommend it as a product worth trying.
Follow-up commentary
This vibe doesn't get me off as fast as many others I own, but the intensity when I do get there is out of this world! It may be just my particular anatomy, but this toy hits in just the right places, and intensifies an orgasm at least threefold! Plus, the color is just incredibly funky, and it's silicone! Definitely recommended!

  • Dame Demi, thanks for the informative review. I have a question for you if you don't mind. It's sort of private, so I'll understand if you wont answer. You said the orgazm from the Zone vibrator was great and different from the ones you had with another toys. Does it mean that the different vibrators will bring you different orgazms even if they stimulate the same zones? I'm a novice to the sex toys and sort of assumed that there are clitoral, vaginal and g-spot vibrators and that is what matters. I didn't think that within the category the different vibrators can bring you different orgasms. This is quite an eye-openning idea for me. Sorry for the lengthy and not really relevan question, but I would really really appreciate if you share your thoughts about it. Thanks a lot. Gia

Gia, thanks for your well-thought-out question.  In my experience, certain toys, well, simply "do it" for me more than other toys of the same type (clitoral, vaginal, g-spot).  I think it's largely a question of anatomy and design--a toy that hits my g-spot dead on might not come anywhere near yours.  I've also found that orgasm intensity and sensation can vary with vibration speed and toy design (for example, the clitoral stimulators on some rabbit vibrators are better designed for my anatomy and give me a more intense orgasm than others).  Unfortunately, that makes finding the "perfect toys" a rather hit-or-miss endeavor--you won't really know how you'll react to a certain toy until you try it.  But to answer your questions, I don't know so much if the TYPE of orgasm differs so much as the intensity and general sensation (like a vibe that stimulates more than one area at a time).

In the case of this particular toy, I was really just surprised because I didn't really feel much, if any, g-spot stimulation UNTIL the moment of orgasm.  That moment, however, left no doubt this toy was hitting the right spots for me.

I hope this helps.  I'm  not a doctor or a sex expert, but I do have alot of experience with toys, and I've found that most of them produce somewhat unique sensations.  My advice would be to experiment and have fun trying out new toys and comparing the sensations for yourself!  Good luck, and thanks again for your question!
  • Dame Demi, I admire you. Thank you so much for the honest advice. I am thinking of going with a g-spot vibe. Shamefully, I've never had a gspot orgasm before. May be I can experience one with a toy. Do you think I can go with the Zone? The size scares me a bit, but…it does matters, doesn’t it? All the best, your fan fan, Gia

Gia, there's nothing shameful about it--some women never have them, or maybe you just haven't experimented enough.  The Zone is a great toy, and I love it's silicone construction; the size really isn't that intimidating when you see it 'in person,' either.  But it's also not really very versatile, and the g-spot stimulator is small and more pin-pointed.  If you're just beginning to explore your g-spot, I'd recommend something with a bigger head and more mobility to start, like the Lucid Dream No. 14 (ignore my ** review, I had one with a bad motor initially).  The head is a little daunting to insert (just use plenty of lube!), but it will give you more coverage of a greater area, the vibrations are adjustable to your comfort level, and you can use the shaft to move it around until you find the right spot.  It also doubles as a great clitoral stimulator and is less than half the price.  Thank you for your kind words, and feel free to mail me anytime! Best of luck!
