Let me begin by stating that I've been blessed with extremely sensitive nipples. Nipples that, when stimulated correctly, can actually bring me to orgasm. The edges of the cups are flared so as to not dig into delicate flesh and are connected to the ABS plastic suction pump via soft silicone tubing. The cups are also seamless and won't scratch while also being aesthetically pleasing.

Because of this, I initially couldn't get the suction cups to create a decent seal, and they frustrated me by continually falling off. As I said before, the power is surprising and really draws the nipples into the suction cups. While I never experienced any pain from this unit, I can see where some may find the stronger settings a tad too aggressive. The pressure release button instantly releases the suction cups if you do need to stop the vacuum, which is a good safety feature.



Truth be told, I did find a couple of suction patterns that reminded me of my breastfeeding days and pumping my milk to stockpile for the times I wasn't available to feed my babies. But it also feels quite a bit like my lover hungrily sucking on my nipples, and that is a feeling I always enjoy!

The instructions state that the Engorgio is splashproof, not waterproof, so some care must be taken to avoid submerging. Playtime in the shower or tub is a no-go.
Cleaning is relatively simple, but I personally recommend removing the suction cups from the silicone hoses before washing with soap and water. The hoses themselves can be removed and rinsed out but must be dried as much as possible before storage. Even though I haven't breastfed in over 20 years, the suction actually made me release a small amount of milk from one of my breasts which found its way into the tubing. I made sure to fully cleanse it out, or I'd imagine some nasties would start growing in there over time.
As with all our toys, we use a Ziploc bag for storage to prevent contact with other materials.
