Emerald studs arouser - traditional vibrator by Cal Exotics - review by Brunn

The Emerald Studs Arouser was my first 'realistic' vibrator, or as realistic as this green beast can be! The vibrations are very deep and powerful, but they're not overwhelming. It's moderately loud on its higher settings, so I wouldn't recommend it for quiet rooms if you're trying to be discreet. It works well for pretty much any part of the body, though the size can make it clumsy for anything precise.

It had a very mild odor when it came out of the package, but it's hardly noticeable. Being jelly, this is a toy that can't be shared. It is somewhat flexible, and the ridges and bumps along the shaft really add a lot of stimulation.

This toy is quite large (and bright green), and it wouldn't be travel friendly. The texture helps it to stay in, no matter how wet you get, and the small nubs towards the base of the shaft feel great when they nudge the clitoris. It's a good step up for someone who's looking to go from a smaller, basic vibe, to something thicker with a more realistic design. The green color is also rather fetching!

The controls are easy to use, with two buttons at the base -- an 'on/off' button, and one that changes the vibe's settings. It's also nice to know that either of the buttons will turn it on. There are ten different settings, a low, medium, and high, as well as several different pulsing settings. The vibrations are strong throughout the entire length of the shaft. The strongest vibrations and pulses are moderately loud.

It worked well in the shower, but it's a little heavy. So, it doesn't work well for free hand play if you're standing. I also haven't had to change the batteries too often, despite lots of use!

Fairly easy to care for, just wash with warm water and soap, and dry thoroughly. Do not boil this! It can be a bit more high maintenance because of the texturing, so always clean it promptly after use.

Also, I would recommend keeping this in it's clam-shell packaging, as a toy I had that was coated with a 'silky smooth' coating came into contact with it, and it chemically reacted. It melted a bit of the coating on the other toy. The Arouser was undamaged, though.

This is probably my favorite toy at this time, because of its solid performance, and fairly inexpensive price.
