Emerald studs arouser - traditional vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Scarlett Muse

I did with the Emerald Studs Arouser as I always do the day the box arrives with my toy; I trot off to the bedroom with batteries and box in hand to get my first look. The very first thing I noticed about the toy was how large it seemed to me. Most of my toys are fairly small, and this just looked large by comparison. Though once I opened it and hand around it I realized that it isn't really any bigger around than my partner. The other thing I noticed right away was the sparkles embedded in it. What can I say, I am easily distracted sometimes, and for what ever reason I really liked those sparkly glitter bits in the pretty shade of green. That of course led to my curiosity about the texture of the surface as I know some things with glitter embedded can have a gritty or rough texture. The surface was nice and smooth; the only texture to be felt was that molded onto it.

The surface was a touch sticky and it had a faint scent, so I took it to wash it off with soap and water. (Jelly material can't be sterilized like silicone-so no boiling, and if your going to be sharing remember to always use a condom. Clean with soap and water or toy cleaner, nothing strong. And always store in a cool dark place) Washed, dried, and batteries reinserted I started pushing buttons. There is an on and off switch and then a button to shift through all the vibration cycles. Right at the end of the battery cap - they are both easy to use and reach .

A little privacy and I was ready to give this a test run. The material seems a little tacky without lube, though once you add that it is pleasant against labia and clit even before being turned on. And then there is the vibration. WOW the things this bad boy can do! I was pleasantly surprised, as they ranged from nice and mellow to nice and strong enough to make my palm tickle as I held it. There is pulsation as well as vibration, as well as a couple combination settings. The only thing I didn't like was that you have to cycle all the way through, so should you shift gears midway you’ll have to go through all of the others to get back. Even aroused and wet, I had to add a little lube to work the toy inside myself, but it felt lovely once it was there. The stuttering pulsation setting was a beautiful thing along with the different molded textures as I began to work it in and out of myself. The nubs at the bottom never made it any where near my clit, however I've come easily just from the vibrations of this toy every time I've used it. All in all, a great toy, though size might be a consideration.
