well, at least it vibrates. technically.

If you're new to anal play and want to try out something small, take my advice and go for something bigger than the passion flower. This vibe has low vibrations and is so small, it won't feel like much of anything.

Because this was my first anal toy|Silicone passion flower, I can't say this review comes from someone with prior anal play experience - but I know enough to realize that this vibe just does not cut it. I was a little hesitant at first, not knowing where to begin. I had done my reading on the pros and cons of anal stimulation, and I was fairly up to speed with how to play safe. So, I freed the silicone passion flower from its packaging, and regarded it with a curious rather than anxious eye. Now, this toy is cute - the lotus petal base is adorable, and it almost makes you want to set it out as a decoration. Though there is no denying the phallic shape, so I would recommend against that if your parents are coming over. The silicone is soft and pliable, and the petals bend easily. That may or may not come in handy later.

Here's a plus about the flower: it comes with batteries! TEN OF THEM. don't get too excited though, it takes five of them at a time to work, and that's not a good sign - they are watch batteries. now, I'm sorry, but no matter how many watch batteries you give me, they aren't going to create a powerful enough vibration to bring me to orgasm. Even knowing this, I tried to remain undaunted. I ran the flower along my clit, and it worked fairly nice for that, but I've had better. This toy is much too small for any worthwhile vaginal insertion, and the flowers would prevent it from getting any farther than its own length - so don't bother.

Because this toy is TPR Silicone, it is unable to be sterilized. For this reason, I would not recommend using it for both orifices. The first time it went anywhere near my vagina was the last (I have stronger vibes for clitoral stimulation - thanks but no thanks, little flower), and even after rigorous cleaning, you can't trust it to be bacteria free. With that said, it was time for me to embark on my first anal adventure. After dabbing it with lube (you can't use silicone based lubes with this toy, fyi), I turned on the vibrations and slowly inserted it. The vibrations really only have one setting - low. And though this makes for an extremely quiet toy, I could barely feel them inside of me. I don't need too much of a vibration to feel good, but honestly, this really did not cut it.

I must admit, anal stimulation feels great - but I have a sneaking suspicion this has nothing to do with the toy, and everything to do with my body. The small flower is both small in length and diameter; it doesn't cause much of a sensation in any way, vibration-wise or just by physically existing. The nubbed head is nice, but once again - you can't really feel this toy. For a beginner, the small size is nice because it is not intimidating. However, as soon as it was in, I immediately wished it were bigger. If you're safe, and slow, you'll get much more satisfaction out of something twice the flower's size and you'll still be on the small end. So, I actually have to say - this toy isn't even beginner's friendly. Even a beginner would want more than this, or at least I did.

Whether its the material, size, or something else, this vibe in no way stays in place. Though it is an anal vibrator and not a butt plug, it could never pass as the latter. Unless you are holding it in, the vibrations (and your natural muscles) work the flower right out of you very quickly. Remember those flexible lotus petals? They don't really work as a base. That is extremely frustrating, considering I wanted my hands a little more free to provide some additional stimulation that these weak vibrations could not give me. Over all, I was very excited by anal play - but very, very disappointed with this toy. I know I will be much happier with something more substantial in size and strength.

5 watch batteries!? Jesus. That is not normal.

Nice review. Are the petals flexible enough that you think they might bend and allow the toy to get sucked all the way in? I don't see it happening, but one never knows with anal toys.

You know, I'd be willing to say the petals ARE flexible enough for the toy to get all the way in... but I think you'd have to push it in to do so.

I had a soft silicone butt plug from the 4 Play Mini Couples Kit get stuck before. It had a decent base but was flexible, and my hubby was holding on to it just to make sure it didn't slip out (which it had a couple times) and it just disappeared. I could feel the vibrations pretty far up and it took me quite a while just to get it out. You can never be too safe. I put a condom on it now, just to make sure I have something to grab onto to pull it out if it decides to go all the way in again. Trust me, it's better to be safe than to have to get one of those suckers out.
