You Slippery Little Demon

Reflections Glee is an alright choice for a g-spot vibrator. The material is safe to share and good with any lube. It's also pretty easy to clean up and take care of. However, the three vibration functions leave a lot to be desired. This may be too weak for most users.

Use

Reflections Glee is designed for g-spot stimulation. It can also be used to stimulate external erogenous zones such as the breasts and clitoris. I don't feel this would be a good choice for anal use, due to the fact that the base is not flared.

There are tons of options for play with the Reflections Glee, considering that it is waterproof and glass. The glass holds up well for temperature play. Just sitting this on my lap for a few minutes caused it to warm up to my body temperature. I definitely prefer something at least somewhat warm being used on or in my body rather than something cold that would cause me to reach for all of my blankets. Glass, too, allows for this to better transfer vibrations.

Material / Texture

The insertable body of Reflections Glee is made of velvety soft tempered glass. It has the look and feel of frosted glass and is seamless. The base is plastic. The box states that this is phthalate free. There is no smell or taste to this whatsoever, and it should gain neither after use, due to it being non-porous. A non-porous material also allows this to be safely shared between partners after cleaning.

I feel that the velvety texture of this vibrator gives it quite a bit of friction. However, because of this friction, Glee is very difficult to insert without some lubricant. When lubricated, it becomes pretty slippery.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

The design of this toy is pretty simple. The shaft is about 5 inches long with the base adding on another inch of length. Most of Glee is a little over 4 inches around. Towards the g-spot curve, it narrows down quite a bit. The curve is pretty gentle and I have no issues with insertion.

I feel the length is pretty generous, considering not every woman's g-spot will be located in the same spot. Glee only had to be inserted about half way to hit my g-spot, which I liked, since there isn't much to hold on to with this. The base of the toy is pretty small and, when this is covered in lube, it can get difficult to keep a hold on.

Because this is a hard material, it may be better for advanced users. Beginners may want to look for something more giving and easier to insert.

Glee is not very discreet looking, either on its own or in the box. It's pretty obvious what it is, and the packaging having "vibrator" written on it doesn't help. However, since it is small, it can be easy to hide. Since it is glass, maybe hiding it in some rolled up socks would work to keep it safe and hidden. Travel with this could be a bad idea, depending on how it is packed. Just throwing it in a bag without any padding around it or anything would make it more likely to break, especially if someone is roughly handling baggage.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Glee is controlled by a small button on the bottom of the base. It has three functions to cycle through, then it turns off. Unlike some vibrators, holding the button for 4-5 seconds does not turn this off. All three functions are super quiet. I feel all of them could be used in a bedroom with a closed door without any sound getting through at all. There isn't any noise of the vibrating pieces hitting against hard plastic, which is something I have experienced with other toys. The vibrations also do not travel to the base to make any noise.

Each of the three levels, low, medium, and high, are all just a constant buzz. Going up a level of vibration is definitely noticeable when this is inserted, though all three are not super powerful. I personally preferred the low level because the medium and high gave me a little bit of pain. Compared to other vibrators, the high setting on this seems closer to a medium setting. I think a few patterned functions would have been a great addition, just to really give the user a good variety. A constant vibration seems to get a bit boring after a while. I did notice, though, if you hold the button almost all the way to change intensity it stops the vibrations, so I guess you could kind of make your own little pattern with one level of intensity. This could get annoying, though, if you are just trying to move Glee around and accidentally stop the vibrations.

Unscrewing the base opens the battery compartment, which takes one AA battery. I have used this for about an hour or so total and am still on my first battery, which is one my camera rejected for being too low in power. Again, I feel the base is a bit difficult to work with unless there is a lot of unused length on the vibrator's shaft, since this is slippery when coated in lube.

The base has a rubber ring around where it screws back on, so it is properly sealed for use in water. When I tested this out in water, it worked exactly the same as it did out of the water.
    • Discreet sound
    • Multiple settings
    • Not enough variety

Care and Maintenance

Glee is pretty easy to take care of. Simply wiping it down in antibacterial soap and water will do the trick, or a toy cleaner can be used. The glass part can be sterilized in a bleach solution of 1 part bleach to 9 parts water. This cannot be washed in a dishwasher.

I keep mine stored in its original box to keep it clean. It can be stored in a toy pouch, too, or like I mentioned before, in some rolled up socks. Glee can also just be tossed in with other toys in a toy box, since the glass won't be harmed from other materials.

Any type of lubricant is safe with Glee. I personally use silicone-based because it is more slippery and lasts longer. If this is being used in water, silicone-based would probably be a better choice, since water won't rinse it away. Water-based lube would be a lot easier to clean off of this than silicone-based, though.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

Glee is packaged in a simple plastic box. It is nestled in a plastic form to keep it from being knocked around. The box has lots of pink and red swirls and hearts all over it. The box doesn't really contain much information, pretty much just basic things such as it being waterproof, using one AA battery, that it is made of glass, and that it is multi-speed.

The box would be good to store this in, since it does safely hold the toy in one place. It looks cute enough to give this as a gift, though it's pretty obvious what this is and what it is for, especially since there is a clear outline of the toy on the front so it can be seen in the box.

The one thing I found irritating about the packaging is the fact that the battery diagram was actually glued into the battery compartment. It was pretty hard for me to get that out of there, though once it is out, it leaves no glue residue or anything behind.
    • Good for storage
    • Recyclable

Personal comments

I don't feel this is a very powerful vibrator. That, combined with it having no texture or variety in functions, just really makes this toy a bit boring. The fact that this is safe with any lubes and is a safe material, as well as that it has a good angle for clitoral stimulation, are just about the only things that redeem this.
Follow-up commentary
As an external massager, I do still like this. However, I recently got a silicone vibrator that feels much better when used internally. I suppose I don't really care for the feeling of a hard material inside of my body.

I want to try a glass vibe, but it seems like the vibrations might not do it for me, never know til I try though Nice review!

I found the glass vibe I tried was also very weak with vibrations. I's not a material conducive to spreading vibrations easily...
