The Ego e2 is pretty easy to use. It requires charging before use by the USB cord included. It can take up to 3 hours to get a full charge. An LED light will come on while it is charging and automatically shut off when it's completely charged. To lock it (for travel) you press it quickly 3 times like you did to unlock it. The charging port is on the side of the head of the ring.
