The Climax Gems Crystal Ring is a cock ring with two separate rings, one for the shaft and then one for the balls. There is also a mini vibrating bullet above the shaft ring for clitoral stimulation. We hadn't tried this kind of cock ring out and so we thought we'd give it a shot. After trying it out I kind of wish we hadn't. It just is too small and too tight to be really comfortable or usable for us. If you know you like super tight cock rings then this might be for you. I have to say though that I think any man larger than average size will have trouble using this ring, even if you like things tight, since it was cutting into my husband who is average sized.

This cock ring is made out of jelly. I don't like jelly toys for vaginal toys but I thought it would be ok for a cock ring. Apparently not, it gave me a burning sensation that lasted for a few hours after work. But, that's just my own sensitivities, if you don't have a problem with jelly that should not happen. Jelly is extremely porous though and can harbor bacteria. This jelly is phthalates-free though! There is no smell to this jelly material, which was a plus. This isn't really something I'd normally taste but I did for the review and it did not have a taste either. My husband doesn't really have enough hair there to pull, but if he did I think it would have pulled. That's mainly because of the extreme tightness though, not so much because of the material. When using this ring you'll want to make sure to use only water based lubricant.

The material is stretchy, but it bounces back pretty tight and isn't really soft or squishy. There is a lot of texture to the toy. I'll start from the top down. The clitoral stimulator has multi sized and shaped nubs. The would feel great if they reached the clitoris, but since on me it was more my vaginal opening it just kind of rubbed in a bad way and left me feeling raw. Next we have the top ring, which is the ring for the shaft. This one has four channels that go straight through to the back, I guess to allow more give here. There is also a few nubs in clusters around the ring. These really couldn't be felt because this cock ring is so tight that it was more digging into my husband than giving me any kind of stimulation. Finally we have the bottom ring, which isn't really a ring, it's more a peanut shape almost. There are nubs along the inside and then some nubs in clusters on the top as well. These really didn't offer must stimulation for my husband. At the bottom of the ball ring there is a little flower/star shaped textured area. This I guess is designed to give stimulation, but all it did was dig into my husband's testicles. The package says that they are designed to "create sexy sensations for him." but they failed at that.

The shape of this cock ring seemed promising. The "peanut" shape of the lower ring seemed like something that might be ergonomic considering there is a separation between the two testicles. In reality though it's kind of hard to say what the shape or design did, because the size was just not big enough. My husband is an average sized man and he barely fit in this, it looked painful when he had it on, and it cut off a lot of his circulation. He couldn't even get the ball ring to stay on without making him wince so when we tried it we had to give it a go without that part on. The material is just not stretchy enough for a ring that starts at the size that it does.

Penis fit aside it also did not reach my clitoris in any way shape or form. We tried a few different positions and it always reached my vaginal opening, and not my clitoris. Since the clitoral stimulator is so nubbed this was actually really painful and it felt like it was rubbing me raw. It was not fun. The clitoral stimulator is just too small and too close to the ring.

The vibration on this cock ring was pretty average in intensity but extremely quiet. There is just one speed and it's activated with a little switch on the side of the micro bullet. Be careful though, when you flip the switch the bullet almost comes apart. The bullet takes a tiny LR41 battery, which does come included. At first I thought that the battery was not replaceable, but I found out that the bullet does in fact come apart, (it opens into two halves) and the battery can be replaced. The bullet is not waterproof. If you actually like this cock ring other micro bullets will work in the bullet sleeve portion, I tried the bullet from the boss cock ring from Evolved, and that one fit.

This toy is jelly, so it cannot be sterilized. You can clean it with soap and water, or some toy cleaner. Take care when cleaning this toy since there many nubs that can trap fluids and also the channels on the ring can trap fluids and can be difficult to get clean. I personally recommend taking out the bullet (it's not waterproof) and soaking the cock ring in some soapy water, then rubbing the soap into it and then finally rinsing it off. The ring should be stored where it is not touching other jelly type toys, the packaging makes a good storage box for it actually.

While this ring did not work for us I can imagine it MIGHT work right if all the stars align for a couple. If the guy's shaft is either rather thin or you like extremely tight cock rings it could work. If your testicles have a lot of loose skin at the top and kind of hang low instead of close to the body then I can see how that would work since you wouldn't need as much space for them then. The clitoral stimulator would work on a woman who did not have much space between her vaginal opening and her clitoris. So, it IS possible that this could work, but unless your anatomy lines up right, it likely won't.

I don't recommend this cock ring at all. The idea behind it was great, but it's just too tight, too textured, and there is poor placement of the clitoral stimulator. It made my husband uncomfortable, but I do have to say it did keep him hard because it cut off his circulation. But, it hurt so much that we really weren't in the mood to go on with it. I just felt bad for putting his penis through this. We went to take it off and planned to continue without it but by then his penis and testicles were sore and my vagina felt like it had been rubbed raw and we just called it quits and settled for a relaxing shower instead. We've never experienced something that was so bad that it totally put us out of the mood.
