The Intense Ring is silicone cock ring designed to be worn by men around around the base of the penis and the testicles. Like any cock ring, its purpose is to trap blood inside the penis in order to create firmer erections and longer-lasting erections. This can benefit men who struggle to maintain an erection, as well as simply providing pleasing sensations for those who do not. The ring is suitable for wearing during both solo play and intercourse with a partner.

The internal diameter of the Intense Ring is quite large, making it best suited to men with a thicker shaft and/or larger testicles, as well as men who are cock ring novices and are unfamiliar with how to best put on and remove smaller products.

The Intense ring features an arm which extends from one side, designed to stimulate the perineum - the internal portion of the penis which runs between the testicles and anus - similar to the Tantus C-Sling. This arm can be repositioned and used to stimulate a female partner clitorally during intercourse, if desired.

The Intense Ring is made from 100% silicone, one of the safest sex toy materials on the market, and is completely odourless and non-porous.

The silicone is quite firm in nature and not terribly stretchy, which is somewhat surprising for a cock ring. Squeezing the thicker areas around the perineum stimulator shows that there isn't much give in the surface of the material, though the ring itself does bend about with ease. The thinnest section of material, at the front of the ring, is the only area where the silicone appears to stretch when force is applied, though it does require a fair amount of effort to expand it by more than a small amount.

The surface of the silicone has a matte finish, which feels soft and velvety to the touch with very little drag. It sits comfortably against the skin and doesn't tug on it or get caught on pubic hairs.

There is a raised seam running all the way around the ring, both inside and outside. The seam is firm enough to be felt by a finger, but it's not at all rough, and it isn't noticeable when the Intense Ring is being worn.

The Intense Ring is quite loose fitting, which makes it very easy to put on and take off, but which also means that it doesn't squeeze that tightly around the base of the penis and help to keep blood trapped in the shaft. When the ring is being worn, it's possible to insert several fingers through the ring alongside the penis and testicles, and as such it's probably going to be a little big for the average user. For men with a large amount of girth, who typically find other cock rings too tight, the Intense Ring could potentially be a good fit.

The design of the ring features a section of material which is much thinner than the rest, allowing it to stretch more easily during use. I found that due to the size of the product it didn't actually need to be stretched at all whilst putting on or taking off, as there was already plenty of room. This is a useful feature to have, though, for users who do find the ring to be snug-fitting.

The Intense Ring features a perineum stimulator in the form of an arm. This arm extends from the ring and curves upwards, and is designed to exert pressure on the perineum to produce a pleasurable sensation. Unfortunately, the curve of the arm is very slight, much less than in the Tantus C-Sling, and the result is that it didn't even sit flush with my perineum, let alone apply any pressure to it. The weight of the arm causes it to just hang downwards between the legs, about 3/4" away from the body. The problem appears to be with the design of the arm itself, rather than just a result of the ring otherwise fitting poorly, as attempts to create a tighter fit made no difference to where the arm came to rest.

The perineum stimulator is actually quite long and almost extends out to the anus itself. This is therefore best suited to men who enjoy pressure on the perineum further back, rather than those who prefer it closer to the testicles.

The Intense Ring is very easy to care for. As it is a silicone product, it can be cleaned in a wide variety of manners. Simply washing with hot water and anti-bacterial soap is the most straight-forward method, or by applying a toy cleaner or toy wipe. The ring can also be sterilized if desired, either by wiping over with a 10% bleach solution or by popping it into a pan of boiling water for a couple of minutes. The ring can even be left on the upper rack of a dishwasher.

The velvety surface of the silicone does attract small particles of dust, and even picks up dead skin from the body, so it's going to want rinsing every now and again at the very least.

The Intense Ring comes packaged very tastefully and simply. The ring is held within a small, clear, plastic cocoon, which is sandwiched between two thick sheets of cardboard. Unfortunately it is necessary to cut or tear through the cardboard in order to open the toy, so it's not good as a permanent storage option. The cardboard is mostly white with a little branding printed on the front, and on the reverse it has a short paragraph of general information printed in six languages.
