Micro Power Ring by Cal Exotics - review by Mamastoys

I chose the Micro Power Ring by California Exotics as a Surprise Me item, as both my hubby and I enjoy cock rings. This item looked a step above the others we have, in that it has four different vibration levels. It is also waterproof, and we enjoy using toys in the hot tub. We thought it would provide many hours of fun.

The Micro Power Ring is made of velvet cote that is hypoallergenic and phthlate free. It feels like a plastic type material. To clean this toy: use either an anti-bacterial toy cleaner, or warm water and an anti-bacterial soap. I chose the latter of the two, as I never keep commercial toy cleaner on hand. Water based or Silicone lube should be used with this toy.

The ring uses two AA batteries that are inserted in the bottom of the toy by screwing off a twist type cover. There are four levels of vibrations that are controlled by a push button type control that is towards the top of the control packet. Initially, I was trying to make it come on by twisting the bottom of the control packet. I guess I have had too many toys that turn on and off this way. Each time you press the switch, the vibrations change. There are three different types of pulses, and the last vibration is a continuous vibration. You do have to go through all settings to get it turned off.

The ring is not a solid ring, but two halves that have an opening half way around it. It cannot be adjusted to tighter or looser fittings. It does have the potential for pinching the cock or scrotum, due to the breakage in the ring. It can, however, be pulled apart to accommodate a larger cock size.

The bullet for this cock ring is nestled at the base of the ring, connected to the power pack by an enclosed cord. The bullet itself is not very large but does provide strong vibrations to the ring while holding it in your hand. All variations of the vibes felt fairly strong, while holding the ring in your hand. The bullet is very quiet and is barely heard when holding it in your hand.

Later, when we tried it out, we found the ring slid on without any issues. There was no pinching of the cock or scrotum. When I turned the bullet on, hubby said he could feel it faintly at the base of his cock. We went through all the vibrations and he could not feel one variation any stronger than the other. Overall, the ring served the purpose of prolonging ejaculation however, the added sensations just wasn't there.

I was determined to try to make this ring be a really good one, because I just love the cute control pack. We tried turning the ring to various positions to see if the vibrations could be felt any better, but I'm sad to say it just didn't work. We even tried to use a freestanding bullet along with the one in the ring, by wrapping the cord around the other bullet. Still, no much there and the other bullet slipped out. Since it is waterproof, we will be trying it out in the hot tub, just to see is the water helps with feeling the vibrations. We have not been able to use the hot tub due to excessive rain the past week!

We have used this toy several times, just for something different. The vibrations are still barely felt by hubby, but the ring does help prolong his ejaculations. It's still cute as ever, and it is fun to use in the hot tub. The concept was a good one, but it would be nice if the company could make the bullet stronger and be felt by both partners.
