The Micro Power Ring from California Exotic Novelties is waterproof vibrating cock ring that has four levels of vibrations. The vibrations are controlled by a push-button type on/off switch. Each press of the button changes the mode of operation; there are three levels of pulses and the last mode is wide open. The Power Ring uses two “AA” batteries that are inserted into the base of the control pack. The battery compartment cover is a screw on type and has a small o-ring that keeps the water out; just make sure to screw the cover on tight to fully seat the o-ring.

The Power Ring is made of Silky Smooth Velvet Cote; which is basically plastic. It is non-porous and easy to clean. Cleaning may be accomplished with mild soap and water or wiping down with a toy cleaning product. The ring is not a closed circle but consists of two halves that have rounded edges that meet in the middle. This configuration results in a ring that can not be made tighter and does result in a pinch point in the middle if the wearer is not careful. The ring halves can be hyper-extended when putting on if the two halves are opened to far and they do show signs of wear after a few uses.

The micro bullet sits at the base of the Micro Power Ring and is moderately strong for a bullet of its size and produces nice vibrations on direct contact with the bullet. The vibrations do not transfer well during indirect contact i.e. they do not transfer around the ring portion to the penis shaft. The ring did not fit snugly so we tried it on a larger dildo to see if that would alter the vibrations felt along the shaft; the results were the same, poor vibration transfer. As with any cock ring extended wear is not recommended to prevent injury to the penis. The manufacture recommends not to wear longer than thirty minutes and to wait sixty minutes between uses.
