Use

California Exotics' Sex On The Go vibrating cock ring is intended as a one-time use product, and it shows. If you have multiple partners and need a cock ring with light vibrations that can be tossed out afterward, this might be a product to consider---but only if you're light on cock rings and don't mind that it might snap during use. For everyone else, though, I suggest dodging this bullet.
    • Can be worn during intercourse

Material / Texture

This vibrating cock ring is made of TPR and that it's built for one use shows. When I took my ring out of the package, there were already multiple nicks on the stretchy band. When my partner put the ring on, he found that it snagged at his pubic hair unpleasantly.

The inside of the band is lightly textured, but my partner didn't particularly notice it in use. The four rows of nubs are squishy enough that I didn't feel them much in use, unless my partner pushed in close and ground against me. Then, they offered a nice bit of sensation---the only part of this toy I ended up enjoying.

There's a light scent straight out of the box, but it dissipated with time.

Where the material really lacks is in sturdiness. For us, it snapped three minutes into sex.
    • Light odor
    • Sticky / pulls hair
    • Textured

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

The fit of this cock-ring is better than I expected, given that the diameter seems small straight out of the box. It's very stretchy. My partner is more length than girth, but he didn't have any real issue getting it into place.

I recommend being careful when you put this one on, though. The TPR likes to catch and tug on pubic hair, and it's easy to lose hold of with lube-slick hands. That's what happened with us, and my partner was not at all pleased by the rubber-band like snap. Once in place, it's a firm, tight fit.

Because the band snapped three minutes into use, we only got to try this one in missionary. The bullet did manage to reach my clitoris, though it took some creative positioning to get full contact.
    • Adjustable
    • Can fit over both shaft and testicles

Functions / Performance / Controls

Performance is where this ring failed for us. If it'd lasted through the single use promised on the package, I'd have felt comfortable recommending this as a one-use cock ring for someone who only needs gentle vibrations and a touch of texture added to the experience.

Because it did snap, however, I don't feel comfortable recommending it.

As for the bullet, there's a single level of vibration triggered by a small plastic slider on the side of the bullet. I found it difficult to get the slider to snap into place and stay on; there were a few false starts before we could get it to remain buzzing steadily. As for the actual quality of vibrations, they're very high-pitched and buzzy. I was surprised by the unpleasant, migraine-inducing mosquito hum that accompanied turning this bullet on.

For me, the vibrations didn't travel through the TPR sleeve covering the bullet with the strength that I would've liked. For my partner, though, this was a positive. He dislikes vibration, and was glad that it didn't travel through the ring to over-stimulate his penis.

As for battery life, I didn't have trouble getting the full 20 minutes out of this toy. Admittedly the majority of that time was spent with it buzzing away on my desk, broken ends flapping about like antennae. The plastic casing of the bullet is flush, and as much as I tried I couldn't pry it open to try and replace the batteries. Truly a one-use item.

Packaging

The ring came in a sealed tie-dyed plastic wrapper, which was inside the plain green box pictured on the product page. The back states that it isn't waterproof and to discard it after use.

"Stretchy and sturdy support for him."

"Intense vibrations for her."

"Vibrates 20+ minutes."

These are the product claims. Of them, I found only the last to be true.
    • Minimal
    • Not discreet

Personal comments

I vacillated between 1 and 2 stars for this product. There were some features to it that I saw as positives, but I ultimately decided to rate it with 1 star because it didn't hold up for the duration of use.

Excellent review---thanks for testing the battery life even though the ring was a dud, and describing what features it had despite a very limited trial run!

You could check out the Sexagon Enhancer as your next cock ring---it doesn't vibrate, but it's sturdy as all get-out.

We had the same problem with this ring. The Screaming O are better and longer lasting. We usually change out the bullets, though.

    Bummer it broke.
    Great review though.

Thanks for the review. Any toy that breaks during its first use barely rates one star, in my opinion.
