They are dark gray with ridges and nubs to make a little more stimulation for the female partner during sex. The opening in the center is about 1/2 inch in diameter. However, it can stretch to about eight times that size. The rings have no real smell to them when you take them from the package.

These were very easy to put on and once an erection was achieved, worked well to keep it at attention. If you are looking for a tight fitting device to force an erection to happen, this probably is not the toy that you want. In fact, the advertising that Dr. Joel Kaplan's Enhancer Rings would add girth to your member is true. I had an observable increase in the girth of my penis while wearing either of these two rings.

Although I'm sure that the maker intends for the two rings to have a different feel, I really could not tell the difference between them while in use. If my partner noticed a change, she did not mention it.

They do recommend that the rings not be worn for more than thirty minutes. I used them for about 15 to 20 minutes at a time. I did not notice any problems afterwards.
