She's married. She has a child. She knows almost nothing about this man that calls her to him. "Nobody has ever treated you as I'm going to treat you." That is the introduction to the book, and in many ways it's the conclusion as well. Nobody ever treated her the way she was treated by him. At the first meeting she was sucking his fingers after they had been in her ass. She came, but he never fucked her. He was never even undressed. It was enough. It was enough that she spends every minute waiting for him and thinking of him. When he does call... She goes to the hotel. She does exactly what he asks, and she waits for three hours before leaving. Naked, blindfolded and with toys inside of her.

So begins the story of Elodie. You see her emotions. You see her desire for a man. You see his complete power over her, and how he abuses her emotions. You see how much she wants him, and just how much she would do for him. How wet she often is when he pushes her emotionally and physically. Yet, he rarely fucks her. Ever? I can't remember, and wouldn't want to tell you anyway. She will leave a lingerie shop and beg a man to pay for her clothes because he demanded it of her. She learns to play with women at his command, and eventually is fucked by other men. Because he asks it of her.

She of course would do anything. She loves him. In the end, she is nothing more than his plaything.

The book is incredibly well written, but it's written from the first person. That means that you get the emotions, some of the scenes not a great deal of character development and I often had questions that were left unanswered. It was a strong enough book that I read it every chance that I got. It can certainly give you a taste of what submission could be.

Have you ever felt like you would do anything, risk anything for sexual pleasure? That you would give more and more of your self, or cross any limits. This book reminds me of that feeling or desire. The story itself left me with questions. How did she get away from her young son so often? What did they do that led her to moving from meeting him in hotel rooms, to scenes at sex clubs? What was the relationship with her neglected husband?

The story left me wondering. Yet, the images will not leave my mind. What she would do, and what she would do for what appeared to be almost nothing. Why?

I think this book is captivating like a lover. It just never leaves your mind completely.
