Content / Style / Audience

I always found with other books on the Kama Sutra tend to be a whole lot of words without much visual help on how to do the position or it'll be just pictures without much instruction. Either way few times threw out the book you'll be left with the question "so, how do I do this exactly?" Not the case with Anne Hooper's book. The short, detailed, straight to the point but sensually written instructions make it easy to understand. This book didn't leave out the little details that matter most like how to listen for signs of what your lover wants and desires by their body and vocal expression. Along with "for him and her" tips on how to make each position even better. The gorgeous photography alone will make you want to try every single position and tip that's in this book.

Most when they hear the words Kama Sutra first thought that comes to mind is needing to be a contortionist to perform the positions. This book will remove pretty much all those doubts. There may be a few that the average person wouldn't be able to do but there are more then plenty of other positions that anyone can do.
The book is fun to curl up with alone and flip threw from page 1 to the very last page. But when it comes to doing the Kama Sutra you can either start from the first page and work your way threw the book. Or my favorite of just flipping to a random page and trying whatever position you flip too.

If you are someone who doesn't care for slow and gentle love making then this may not be the book for you. But if slow and soft is up your alley part time or all the time this would be a good book to pick up for your nightstand cause this is all about gentle love making.

The only downside I found to this book is that it's not gay friendly when it comes to positions. Not really a book I would recommend to any of my gay friends to try. There just wouldn't be enough for them to do in this book to make it worth the price I personally would think.

Design

It's hardcover so if your like me and is hard on books the hardcover is a big plus. From what I can tell the pages are both sewn and glued in which adds to the durability of the book. The pages are heavy, sturdy, and semi gloss. This book was made made to last and put together very well. If you are a shy lover then this is a book you may want to tuck away and not put on your bookshelf. The hot pink cover with silver lettering will certainly draw people's eyes to it instantly.

Personal comments

Personally for myself this is a book that has won a permanent place in my bookcase.
Follow-up commentary
I have had this book for over a year now and I still love everything about it. Even after all this time, I still like to grab it off the bookshelf at random. I love to flip it to a page, and go from there. For me, it's been well worth the price tag.
