Penny Flame's Guide to Rough Sex - dvd by Vivid - review by Saraid

I've broken this review down by the introduction and then each individual scene. So, we'll start with the introduction!

Introduction: Penny Flame’s Expert Guide to Rough Sex starts out with Penny going over the basics of consent, safe words, how to avoid unnecessary bodily strain and which parts of the body can and cannot be hit. For someone new to these concepts, this is a great part of the video; however, if you are experienced with rough sex, this part may be something you want to skip over and get to the first wonderful scene!

Penny enlists the help of Mia Lelani, who is very adorable. I would love to see more of her – to demonstrate very clearly which parts of the body to hit, how to hit them properly, and how to pull a partner’s hair without straining their neck.

After the demonstration there are some very nice interviews with Penny and Derrick before their scene. These interviews continue with the other performers before their scenes about what turns them on and their own personal views on sex. It makes for a very interesting prelude to the scenes.

Scene 1 (Derrick and Penny): This scene is by far the best scene in the film because of the great chemistry between Penny and Derrick. Derrick dominates Penny from beginning to end, and you can tell both actors are loving it, something which is not common in porn. After deep-throating Derrick’s cock and getting fucked out of her mind, Derrick brings out a Hitachi Magic Wand and uses it on Penny. At the end of the scene Penny brings herself to orgasm once more with the Hitachi after Derrick comes on her face.

This scene is one of the best examples of communication and power play in the film. There are many exchanges which exhibit how to play with power, such as Penny asking Derrick permission to come. Throughout the scene there are pop-ups a la VH1 Pop-Up Video that give tips and advice, such as telling viewers to be careful during choking as it can crush your windpipe and highlighting Penny’s favorite positions in which to be dominated.

Scene 2 (Aiden and Devin): This scene shows a good example of female domination. Aiden, while she is good at dominating Devin and you can tell they are both enjoying it, she takes some of her words a little far into a realm that some might think laughable. I didn’t enjoy when she repeatedly called Devin her “dog”, not because I was offended, but because it was a bit funny and not sexy at all. Although, in his interview Devin does state that is something he enjoys, so I assume that it was something he wanted from the experience.

Scene 3 (Mark and Lexi): For me, this scene has decent chemistry, but I find Mark Davis to be incredibly unattractive, therefore, I think this is my least favorite scene. Lexi, however, is incredibly cute and I really enjoy her as a performer. The main way this scene differs from the scene with Penny and Derrick is that Mark and Lexi tend to have less eye contact during some of the scene and it seems, at times, Mark is just doing whatever he feels like without thinking of what Lexi likes or would be into doing. It seems like she is not enjoying herself as much as Penny is enjoying herself with Derrick while being dominated. However, if I liked Mark Davis I’m sure this scene would have been way better for me as there as some parts I like if I disregard his appearance.

I still watch Penny Flame's Guide to Rough Sex almost every time I masturbate. Penny and Derrick's scene is worth the money alone. Also, my partner has watched the scene with me to get more of an idea of what I want in bed, which has in turn improved my sex life. Overall this one is golden, so just get it already!
