Candida Royalle’s “Eyes of Desire”|Candida Royalle’s “Eyes of Desire” is one porn DVD my husband and I genuinely enjoyed watching together. We enjoyed it so much, in fact, that we bought most of her other DVD’s.

“Eyes of Desire” is porn, without a doubt, so there is some definite cheesiness factor to it, and some less-than-talented and less-than-highly-attractive actors in it. We found that, in our opinions, at least, the pros outweighed the cons in terms of a movie a couple could happily watch together. The main characters, and most of the secondary characters were attractive enough, at least in comparison to many porn films we've seen.

Like a lot of porn, there’s really not much of a story. A young woman moves into her friend’s apartment and is intrigued by a seemingly empty mansion across the way. However, once she notices a telescope in one of the windows of the mansion, she puts her own telescope to good use and a game of voyeurism begins between her and the mysterious companion (as well as some of the other unsuspecting neighbors!).

“Eyes of Desire” is hard-core pornography with a definite feminine sensibility, making it ideal for couples to watch together. There are a nice variety of scenes, including voyeurism, exhibitionism, masturbation, one-on-one sex, and a mild group sex scene (and a rather odd cross-dressing scene which I still don’t quite understand, but I enjoy Chloe as a performer so was able to forgive it). I personally especially liked the female solo bathtub masturbation scene as well as the guided exhibitionism/voyeurism scene that took place between the main characters through telescopes and the telephone.

My favorite feature of “Eyes of Desire,” however was that the sex was fairly realistic. Much mainstream porn switches directly from an introduction scene to gyno-shots, and becomes very repetitive and boring. “Eyes of Desire” actually featured complete sex scenes, with dialogue and foreplay leading up to oral sex and intercourse, and ending with realistic orgasms, not the usual porn “money shot.” It was like watching couples truly make love, instead of simply exhibiting themselves for the camera and skipping to the, uh, ‘good’ parts.

Though far from perfect, I would highly recommend Candida Royalle’s “Eyes of Desire” as a great couples film, one that will satisfy cravings for hard-core porn without sacrificing and ‘chopping up’ the entire act of sex.

Ok, it's cheesy, it's hokey, the acting is bad, but this is still one of my all-time favorite porn films. It *is* porn, after all, so I tend to make allowances for things like bad acting. But it actually has a (somewhat corny) story, and most importantly, the sex scenes are truly SCENES, that follow through from beginning to end, rather than cutting from gyno shot to ass shot and back. Hubby and I are still able to enjoy this one together.
