Look Who's Here
A good book, but in the wide, wide world of erotic photography this only stands out as a curiosity. It is not particularly titillating, nor is it unique or creative enough to really be a necessary part of an art-centric collection.

For me the writings within are nice filler, but nearly discordant with the work itself. Having "My Secret Garden"'s author Nancy Friday discuss feminism with Nina Hartley is a curious piece, and the introduction written by Gore Vidal is just what you would have expected from a hand as deft as wields his pen, but that is secondary to most consumers.
Providing my review I have purposefully omitted the facts that I have found make a customers' eyes glaze over and stuck with this book's value to a toy site. Does the book teach anything utilitarian or not? Does it show something erotic and enticing or not?
Taking the strong interviews within this book very seriously they are still a considered curiosity within the work by a serious student of the sex industry or feminism. I can suggest myriad anthropological works, many feminist works for an earnest study, and rows of sociological studies texts.
As this book says, its strength is in that it visually does what those works do with words. "...how quickly the prurient impulse fades." under the masterful lens of Timothy Greenfield-Sanders This book does its best work in its photos, removing the need to just pour through flesh and making the observer take the time to study the beauty in the flaws and perfections of each model.
