Stripping Tease for Dummies

I really wish this book had more... and by more I mean more excitement, more ideas that someone wouldn't of thought of on their own.

somewhat useful review
I am not a person who typically reads books, unless they catch my attention and I can’t seem to put the book down. I’m not a heavy reader, but Bedroom Games written by Mary Taylor caught my attention, with an exciting title and thrilling book summary. However it was the opposite.

This books title should have been Stripping Tease for Dummies. For me this was a book I found hard to pick back up and finish reading. I had to force myself to pick it up and read it, only to be able to write a descriptive yet helpful review. I still have not finished the book. I am currently about to start chapter 9 in this 13 chapter book. So my review will cover those and a follow up review will come as soon as I finish.

So far this book is full of common sense that every woman could do if they thought about it. However, this book does get your creative juices flowing in a few of the chapters. These chapters are: chapter 6 Choosing a Role, and chapter 7 What to Wear, What to wear. Both of these chapters give you fun and creative “characters” in both Dominant as well as Submissive roles.

There’s even a few Neutral roles, which could go either way such as Mrs. Claus, Nurse, Secretary, Clown etc… There’s even a selection on what songs go best with which roles, which I found helpful. I always played our wedding song, even when I was a maid or nurse, which in the book states that to be a NO! NO!

Chapter 8 Setting the Stage, is also useful. She gives you ideas on how to turn a room in your home into somewhere else. For example: she explains to the reader that a living room can be turned into a beach, with a kiddie swimming pool and other accessories.

The first five chapters in Bedroom Games basically told the reader about her life experiences as a stripper. It also included her reasons why she decided to write this book and what she discussed with her students in her stripper course.

I am hoping that the remaining chapters (9-12) are more exciting than the first eight chapters. The titles of these chapters are The Basic Moves, Advanced Moves, Up Close and Personal, How to do your own Strip-A-Gram, and Do It just Because.

The Strip-a-Gram title sounds quite interesting. I look forward to reading a follow up once you read it.
