extremely useful review
Sweet Danger is a compilation of 20 stories all written by different authors, picked by erotica editor Violet Blue. Each one offers quite a few different styles of not only writing and points of views but different fantasies that they play with. Each one offers quite a few different kinks that they touch on. All with interesting twists and turns that keep you turning the page. The book itself is a soft cover book that has a couple on the front. So it's not the most discreet of covers but I have also seen plenty of people reading 50 Shades of Grey on the bus these days so I was adventurous in reading it out in public with really no issue. But if you are more into not letting the world know you are reading erotica then keep this one at home or put a book cover on it. It is also bigger then a normal soft cover paperback book so if you have a smaller purse or bag that you normally carry your things in you might want to skip this as a travel book or upgrade to a bigger bag.

I plan on going into a little detail in the various things touched on in each story. But I had a few more things to talk about first that I noticed about the book over all. Each of the couples in the book are male/female as the couple exploring the taboo fantasy. While a few of them do travel down the path of female domination and male submission it is only in 3 of the stories. In the rest of them it is the males are the dominant one of the couples. One of the things I do like about this though is at some point in each story; be it somewhere in the middle of narration, at the beginning, or the end of the story they mention the couple at some point communicating with one another about their wants. This really made me love each story even if I wasn't into it for the erotic portion. I like that the couples are shown communicating their sexual desires in some fashion.

Each of the writing styles where different as each story was done by a different writer. However, if you are not a fan of more smut type writing in your erotica and rather a more romantic description of sex this would not be the book for you. Most of the stories are very blunt in their writing and descriptions of sex, which was great for me but I know others do not prefer it.

Now on to each of the stories. As I stated before each one explores different fantasies that are considered taboo or kinky. I won't go into huge detail about each story but I thought I would outline what is covered in each of the stories. Had I known this information I would have skipped a couple only because that particular fantasy does nothing for me. I won't go into detail about each story because there are some twists and turns that I really liked which I don't want to give away.

Picture Perfect by Donna George Storey - Exhibitionism with implied voyeurism.

Old Friend by N.T. Morley - Female domination, humiliation, anal fisting, M/F/F. This one focuses around the best friend of the wife in the story coming to visit. While I read it this was not one that I enjoyed because Female Domination is not something for me. But certainly I think anyone who does would enjoy this story a lot.

Alice by M. Christian - Feminazation, implied exhibitionism. Another story that just didn't do much for me but I found it to be very well written.

Full Body by Simon Torrio - Roleplay (client/massuses), slightly consensual non-consent.

In the Back of Raquel by P.S. Haven - Voyeurism

Takes All Comers by Ainsleigh Foster - Phone sex, cuckold

Richard's Secret by Saskia Walker - Threeway M Dom/M Sub/F dom, M/M sex, BDSM

Performance Art by Oscar Williams - Public use, voyurism, exhibitionism, BDSM

Dress Me Up by Erica Dumas - Dressing up, roleplay, D/s, M/M/F

House Rules by Sara DeMuci - F/F/M, spanking, BDSM, exhibitionsim

Rest Stop by Felix D'Angleo - Glory hole, voyeurism
Experience
Daddy's Boy by Elizabeth Colvin - Gender role reversal, pegging. Now normally this is not my cup of tea when it comes to something I would want to read to get in the mood or to get off. However, I really liked that this one was included. The female in the story takes on the more tradional role of the 'male' in being called Daddy. I really liked it just because it was so different.

Medical Attention by Skye Black - Medical Fetish I have to be honest, I skipped this one TOTALLY because I have an honest to goodness fear of hospitals and I knew that I wouldn't be able to enjoy it.

Cocked and Loaded by Thomas S. Roche - Edgeplay (guns)

Evening Class by J. Hadleigh Alex - Roleplay (Teacher/Student), spanking

Dinner Out by Marie Sudac - Consentual non-consent, Outdoor sex, edgeplay (knife)

Pearl Necklace by Jolie Joss - Cheating, cuckhold

Greedy by Eric Emerson - Gangbang

Moneymaker by Isabelle Ross - Concentual Non-Concent, roleplay (sex worker/client)

My Number One Fan by Sarah Sands - Concentual Non Concent

Overall I really enjoyed this book and I think I am going to have to keep a look out for more like it. Or perhaps even a Sweet Danger 2 would be quite awesome if Cleis Press decided to put out another!
Follow-up commentary
I have re read this a couple of times since I finished it, just some of my favorite stories here and there. I am still very much in love with this book.

I even gave the one story that I skipped over during my first reading a shot Medical Attention by Skye Black, and while it wasn't my favorite it was a very interesting read to learn about just how a medical scene could be rather erotic.
