An Explosion of Orgasms with my Hubby!

You've probably read my review on the Cal Exotics Rose Petal Soap Flakes. If so, you know that the only reason I disliked that product was because it contained glycerine and was basically made of soap. They gave me a severe and painful UTI, and I was desperate to find another product to give the hubby and I the fun we were looking for without the pain.


So... I turned to the Rose Petals Explosion by Bijoux Indiscrets. I can tell you that I am 100% pleased and the fact that these are reusable is even more fun than the fun I had in the tub with my man! These are a great way to spice up any bath, and there's enough to last you for a very long time. You can even throw these on the bed, the hood of your lover's car, or drop them one by one up the stairs to your lover's room while you wait patiently, naked on the bed, drizzled in chocolate syrup (yeah right!).



Anyhow, these are great for everyone, and I'll tell you why in the rest of this review.

Each petal feels pretty firm, just as an artificial flower's petal would. They do soften when added to a bath, but they continue to float for a pretty long time before they eventually sink. By that time, you'll most likely be making some intense love in the tub so there's no reason to fret about sinking petals! You probably wont even notice.


The box is reusable, and I recommend keeping it because there are just tons of rose petals inside and you'll need a good place to store them. You could also keep them all in a plastic bag for use down the line, not just in the box. I just prefer to reuse boxes whenever possible.


After a petal has been wet, it doesn't get as firm as it was when you first bought it. However, there's not a whole lot of a difference and it doesn't really matter to me. Some people mentioned their petals fraying, but I didn't have that problem at all. Maybe it was a defect or rough use.

These petals are lightly scented. I saw a video review saying they were scented quite strongly, but I disagree. These had the scent of a real rose, but it was nothing to get aggravated about. No need to open your bedroom/bathroom window to ventilate the area. I really liked that these didn't smell too strongly because I knew there wasn't a whole lot of product added to make these smell good. That means less allergy concern.

When I turned the hot water on and added the rose petals to the bath, the scent really got more intense, but it was still not intense enough to make me hold my nose or get a headache. Thank God for all of us with migraines!

The scent will hold up for about a bath or possibly two. I could still smell some of the rose scent on my second bath but not enough to please someone looking for scented petals. You can re-scent these petals with some essential floral oils or any other essential oils you may own. You can find these at grocery stores, Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and tons of other places around town. So this wasn't an issue for me.

These rose petals have only been used in the tub for my hubby and I. We could have used them on the bed, but I'm not one to cover the bed in rose petals for my man. I'll leave that up to him.


I did use these in the tub, and I only needed about half a bunch. There are 100 rose petals inside (approximately... there might be more from the looks of it) so I didn't have to use even 1/4 of the box to put in the bath. I found that when I turned the hot water on, and applied the roses, the scent increased, but not too much. They floated for a long time and only a few sank after about half an hour.


These things are high quality because they did not fray, and stayed as beautiful and did not lose any color from being in the water. I honestly expected them to get worn out and have to be thrown away, but when I found them dried and firm the next morning, I was so happy because I knew I could re-use them!

These rose petals come packaged in a creme colored box with a black box cover. It is very small, but holds A LOT of rose petals! I received my package thinking "What the hell? This is all?" but when I opened the box I saw how many were inside and I was blown away at how they could fit all these rose petals in one box!


The box is discreet and doesn't mention anything about sex or anything sexual. I am so glad about this because I also purchased a box to give to some friends and family in a gift bag. Personally, if I would have known there were so many in this one box I would have only bought one and divided it up for all of us!

Special NOTE: If you are going for that whole "Lead-Him-Up-The-Stairs-To-My-Bathroom-Where-I-Will-Be-Laying-In-A-Tub-Of-Floating-Roses" then PLEASE follow these instructions or they will sink.

If you are planning on using these in the tub in general, follow these instructions:


1. Fill up the tub with water.


2. Turn off the faucet, and do not turn it on again. This means you'll want to fill it up to your heart's content, put any soaps or oils in ahead of time, etc.


3. Go light your candles, clean up your dirty clothes, or do whatever.


4. Get in the tub with roses in hand, and let the water settle and become still.


5. Start placing the petals one by one, dip-side-up, onto the top of the water gently.


6. Wait for your loved one and hope they get home before 15 minutes. They will sink eventually, but this will prolong the floating.

These were awesome. I can't tell you how sensual bath time was when you have "real" rose petals in the tub, compared to fake soap flake rose petals. Everything becomes so much more sensual!


I originally wanted these to make gift bags for some friends and family but I had to get some for myself after the UTI incident from the Cal Exotics Soap Flake Rose Petals. These are more than wonderful alternatives and I am so happy that I made this purchase! There's definitely enough to share and the reusable factor makes them worth every penny.
