Clamping In Style!

A clit clamp is suppose to cut off blood supply to the clit and then be removed, which can cause heighten sensitivity. This clamp is effective for this use. It is a great pick for beginners and advanced users. The only issue is that you can not get it on by yourself.

What is it?
PHS International presents you with the beaded clit clamp. A clit clamps purpose it to cut off blood flow to the area, but not for an extended period of time since blood restriction can cause tissue damage. When you decide it is time to remove the clamp blood flow will return to the area causing heighten sensitivity to the clit, which can help you achieve orgasm. At first the clamp might hurt, but then the area should become numb, due to loss of blood to the area, when removed feeling will return. Clamps are more for the bondage fetish lovers, but you have to start somewhere and this one is a good start.

Material
The clit clamp is made of metal which has a safety rating of a 9. It is latex free, phthalates free, and Non porous. Since it is not at all porous you can share it, but you should wash with and alcohol solution in between non fluid bond partners, for your own safety. The metal can be cold at first, but it is easily heated up in the palm of your hand. There are 8 plastic beads that dangle down on this clamp also. Plastic has a safety rating of an 8. If you do share it, be sure to use the alcohol solution on the beads as well. These beads do not add anything to the clamp, they are for design, but they can get in the way during other sexual acts.

Design
The clit clamp is a lot like an earring that dangles. Starts out as a 1.5” metal hook, which is springy. Then at the very bottom it is connected by a small O ring to the string of beads. There are three different colored beads dark blue, pink, and light blue. These beads go three small ones of each color, then two larger ones only pink and light blue, and finally three small ones of each color. The total length is 3”. The part that clips over the clit is closed until you pull it open, but at the top it is 0.5" wide.

Fitting
The hook is springy, which means that it is easily pulled and bounces back to normal, so it should fit most women. The only issue is that it is hard to put on by yourself; you almost need another set of hands.

Effectiveness
Effectiveness of this clamp was not what I expected, but I am really not sure what I expected either. This was my first clit clamp, so I am new to this. First off it is almost impossible to clamp this style by myself, if find that I often do not get the right placement without my partner. When my partner did help me, it was effective. It hurts at first for about a minute, but then the area becomes numb and after about 5minutes after originally putting it on, I removed it and noticed that my clit was more sensitive. I recommend trying oral sex afterwards. I found that to be the most stimulating afterwards.

The only issue with its use is that when you are wearing this, it is almost impossible to have intercourse due to the string of beads that dangle down. They will rub on your partner, which can be an issue. The best thing to be entered into the vagina is something slim, like a finger or a slim toy.

Cleaning
Metal can be cleaned one of four ways boiled, bleach or alcohol solution, dish washer, or soap and water. But you have to remember that the end has plastic beads, so the best way to wash is to use alcohol or bleach solution or wash with soap and water.

The best storage for this clamp is a jewelry box. If you did leave this out where someone could see it, they would most likely ask were the other earring is. No one would even guess that it is a clit clamp unless they have one as well.

If you do need to use lube for easy gliding, you can use any kind you would like. Metal is compatible with all lubes.
Experience
Overall
Overall I am giving this clit clamp a 4 star rating. This is due to the fact that it can not be done easily by yourself.
Follow-up commentary
This clit clamp has been given to a trust friend. She told me she tried it, but it really didn't work well for her.

I have not purchased another clit clamp, but I use nipple clamps on my clit. If you like clit clamps you might want to check those clamps out. They apply a lot of pressure to the clit. I really enjoy using them. It is too bad I didn't feel the same about this clamp.

I have a clit clamp and I cannot get it on by myself either. But it isn't this type. It is like and alligator type clip and it hurts actually. So I don't use it anymore.

How wide is the part that goes over your clit? It looks pretty big in the picture.
  • Contributor: Beck
The part that goes over your clit is closed until you pull it apart, but the top of it does open up to 0.5"!

That's odd you would need a partner to help put this on. I think I'll pass on this. Thanks for the review.

Oh, thanks for clearing that up for me! I didn't realize your clit went into the narrowest part. I've never used a clit clamp before, and from the pictures I would've thought the top of the loop would rest around the clitoral hood, not sit way above it. My clit is tiny (like 1/8th of an inch) so I was thinking that this never would have worked for me. It still seems a bit weird to have a big loop sitting above my clit though, like it would just be excess material, getting in the way.

You need a partner because you need to hold it open and hold the clit at the same time, which you can not do with only yourself.

I think that it is designed like that, so it fits many different styles of clits, but I am unsure as well. This is my first clamp.

Ooh, this looks pretty, but if it's hard to put on by yourself, then I wouldn't get much use out of it.
  • Contributor: Beck
Thanks for reading Femme, I had a very hard time pulling apart the clamp and trying to get it positioned right. It is something that you need help with.
