Comparable to Coochy

This product is highly comparable to the aftershave I've been loyal to, Coochy Protection. This aftershave is more effective, but the one drawback to it is that it stings more when first applied compared to Coochy. It also has some iffy ingredients, so I would recommend reading up on them and doing a spot test on your skin before going to town on your more sensitive regions.

Use

This product comes in a small spray bottle and is intended to be used after shaving and in conjunction with the other 'Simply Sensual' shaving line of products. It is intended to be sprayed onto whatever area has just been shaved and then let to sit.

The ingredients are intended to help form a protective layer over the newly shaved shin and protect it from rubbing against clothing and causing irritation. It is also supposed to sooth and calm already irritated skin and close pores to prevent infection and ingrown hairs.

Because of both the scent and formula this is good for both men and women to use, and it is great for using on any part of the body. For best results this product should be used every day after you shave or shower.

The ingredients are as follows, and I have highlighted any that are common allergies or concerns.

Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Polysorbate 20, Laendula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Maticaria) Flower Extract, Glycynhiza Glarbal Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glarbal (Licorice) Root Extract, Echinacea Agustifolia Extract, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Epilobium Angustifolium Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Lilum Candidum Bulb Extract, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract, Trifolium Pratense (Clover) Flower Extract, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Lavandula Angusifolia (Lavender) Oil, Benzyl Alcohol, Polyquaternium-10, Potassium Sorbetat, Disodium EDTA.

On this list, Benzyl Alcohol is actually been found to be harmful in large doses and has several warnings on the sites I've looked at, but this compiles the information well. The rest may just be personal reactions, so I would recommend doing a spot test on the inside of your wrist.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This is a fairly runny product once sprayed onto the sin, but it dries quickly. It is completely transparent and I haven't had this stain any clothing or fabrics it's come in contact with. If you get overzealous and spray on a lot it may drip a bit, but if you hold it a few inches from your skin and spray it should stay where it is well.

After spraying this on, it's fairly obvious that it forms a protective coat. It's not greasy or tacky at all, but it does make your skin feel a bit... rubbery? It's not at all unpleasant and it feels nice on my skin against fabrics. It takes about 5-10 minutes to completely dry on my skin.

Taste / Aroma

In comparison to the other aftershave I use, Coochy Protection, this has a very light scent. It's very botanical, and reminds me of green tea with a hint of peppermint. It's not overpowering and it won't interfere with any other perfumes or scented products that you use. It also won't rub off on clothing or other people.

Overall, this scent fades very quickly. After it dries completely I can only smell it faintly and if I try. At the end of the day you can't smell it even if you smell your panties directly, so it's very discreet. I wouldn't recommend tasting this because of some of the ingredients.

Performance

As far as the actual performance goes, this may actually be a bit more effective at calming irritation and preventing infection than its competitor. I have been using this for several days (I shaved the day I got it, and shaved yesterday, as well, and I used it all the days in between) and have noticed only slight irritation where the sides of my panties rubbed against my skin.

The one thing that really stands out to me as the difference is that this one does sting upon application. Looking at some of the ingredients, a lot of them are anti-fungal or anti-bacterial agents, which I feel is to kill any preexisting bacteria on your skin before tightening your pores and forming a protective barrier.

This tends to wear off on its own, but it is definitely washed off by the time I get out of the shower. If you have an adverse reaction this can be easily washed off with soap and water or wiped off by using a moist towel or a baby wipe.

I REALLY like this product because, before I found out that they made aftershaves for your neither bits, I was resigned to having painful, puffy, infected pores for about 2 days after shaving. If you have issues with irritation after shaving, you need to try this.

Packaging

This product comes in a very well made plastic bottle. It's waterproof and it comes with a lid, so you can travel with this if you wish. It has a spray top that has a great design (which seems to defy physics) that can spray upside down, so it's easy to spritz any newly shaved areas without having to keep it upright.

There weren't very many instructions on the bottle, but it didn't really need very many. It lists all of the ingredients and a bit about the brand, but is very discreet and unless someone reads the label it looks like some sort of hair care product.

Experience

Overall, I really enjoy this aftershave. It really is giving Coochy a run for its money, but I'm going to have to decide when I run out of both if the higher effectiveness is worth the slight stinging when I first apply it. I personally wish that some of the ingredients were more straightforward and safer, but I really like not being in pain all day after shaving to complain.

I'm giving this product 5 out of 5 stars, but I would encourage everyone to read up on the ingredients beforehand and to do a spot test to avoid any adverse reactions.
