Vanilla snow woman glistening trio - bath and shower gel discontinued by Cake Beauty - review by Hot'n'Bothered

Time to give yourself a little bit of pamper time, with this trio. (Or give it to a friend so she can have some pampering). Smell like you came fresh from the bakery with the realistic vanilla scents. While cleaning, moisturizing, and beautifying yourself!

Body Mousse:

Body Wash:

Lip Gloss:

Body Wash:

Typical of a body wash, runs out of the bottle without much effort and will puddle in your hand. I have found it doesn't lather that well if you just rub it on you as is. So if you want a better lather, break out that loofah! I have problems with that 'shrinking' skin feeling post rinse off with MANY soaps. This one did not leave that sensation at all, I step out of the shower feeling fresh and clean.

Body Mousse:

The lotion is more a mousse, so it's thicker in consistency, and requires some force to come out of the bottle. It spreads and absorbs easily. It doesn't leave that cheap watered down lotion feel that you get with some lotions. The shimmer that it provides mainly sticks around on the palms of your hands, I really haven't noticed much elsewhere on my body when I am done using it.

Lip Gloss:

Now personally I found the lip gloss to be kind of sticky, and found it very comparable to some of the Mary Kay lip glosses. But Cake win's out on this one, they've added the perfect amount of glitter/shimmer. It also does wipe off with minimal effort should you decide to not wear it after all.

Honestly, the lotion and wash smells like vanilla cake batter (Yes, non baked cake!) fresh from the bakery. Or one could argue that it smells just like a boxed cake that you might make in your own home.

The danger in this? I'm pregnant and it makes me hungry!

I didn't find that the lip gloss has too much of a flavor to it. A small hint of vanilla perhaps, but nothing too terribly major.

I have found that the aroma of the wash/lotion does not tend to hang around very long after washing or moisturizing. Which is the biggest bummer to this trio.

All the products performed well, and as expected.

The body wash lathered well with the aide of a loofah, and while I am disappointed in the fact that the bottles are only 4oz, I have found that a smaller amount seems to do the trick just fine. (So in the end, the smaller bottle MIGHT not be the end of the world)..

The mousse, was rich and moisturizing, the scent on this one was much lighter than the body wash, but because your not actually rinsing it off, it does tend to linger a bit longer.

The lip gloss does not provide that much in the way of color, the scent and flavor are pretty low (Probably good so no one is tempted to actually eat it!) But it has an absolutely lovely glitter/shimmer that I have not seen another come close to as of yet. How long it hangs around on your lips depends on how much you (and your significant other) Can stay away from your lips!

The glistening trio came in an adorable box (cardboard, so it is recyclable if you choose to not use it) The box is slightly big for it's contents. The company could easily cut back on the box size and save some tree's that way.

The bottles of lotion and body wash are in 4oz plastic bottles with push tops, and are attractive enough to sit out on the counter, instead of in it's box.

The lip gloss is in a standard tube/wand packaging.
