Let me just say to start with, that when I first ordered this product I did not realize it was a seasonal-themed item. I just thought "hey, low-heat candles and massage lotion sound pretty fantastic" and I was definitely right on that account. While I have no complaints about the scents themselves, I have to say that "eggnog" is not necessarily the appropriate choice for all occasions. It is a great gift choice, since the packaging is designed to be a tree ornament, so it would make a nice surprise, whether you're planning on giving or receiving the benefits! The "cranberry" doesn't really smell anything like cranberries -- it's actually somewhat closer to bubble gum or some other candy smell. The cinnamon was my personal favorite, and the least Christmas-y. I do have to say, though, that the candles did smell good, but the scents can get overwhelming if you try to play for too long. The fragrances are quite sweet, so they can kind of clog the nostrils after awhile.

This product was, however, a lot of fun! Whether you use them for their intended purpose as massage oils, or just for temperature play, they will not disappoint. Combine with some bondage, and you could become a lovely candelabra (trust me, I did it!) since the candles are contained in little plastic cups so you don't have to worry about dripping if they are upright. Or you could just sit back and enjoy getting drizzled with nice warm, sweet-smelling wax. This WILL NOT burn you if you hold it more than 3 or 4 inches from the skin, and in fact it's not really even hot.

The massage lotion I didn't find all that useful, though it does smell nice. In fact, I'm not entirely sure what it's for. The candles are the focal point of this kit, and they are totally worth it.

One anecdote worth sharing, was the last time I used this product it was late, and we were too tired afterward to clean up. I looked a mess when I went to sleep, with red waxy spots all over my stomach. When I woke up in the morning they must've rubbed into my skin, because there were no more spots on me, and no stains on the sheets either! Which was good news, since we were in a hotel.
