Since the adjuster doesn't work very well, you can't get them both on to do anything. They certainly are not exciting. They are disappointing to say the least.

Pros
Basic design, compact, easy to clean and store.
Cons
Doesn't stay on and if you are really into pain try something else.
I'm a beginner and guess I misunderstood the use of these. I love nipple play, just not pain. I thought if I put these clamps on my nipple that the movement of the chain would cause a stimulation to my nipples. The original description said they would be good for beginners. I'm not sure I agree with that. Beginners don't know what they are good for. They are supposed to provide pain. Kinky, and despite how I thought they worked, they didn't. The only alternative uses I can think of is on a clit or a male partner's nipples, if it would stay on.
The material is smooth with no texture. I don't know why I thought they were stainless steel but I don't think so. I laid the chain around my neck just hanging and after about a half an hour my neck started itching and when I looked in the mirror my neck was red. So I am allergic to it. These are from M2M products, a division of PHS International, and in their picture of products they show a nipple clamp that looks like this one but has a different product number M2M1003C. The catalog ID on this pair is H2H1003C so I am guessing it is the same. However there is no description and definitely no specified material. It is chrome color but I doubt very much that it is true chrome plating. It would be heavier if it were chrome. The card that was in the clamshell case it came in had a black and chrome block and the chrome was checked. But that is a color, not chrome plated. If it was, it would say chrome plated.
The tips of the tweezers are curved inwards toward each other, like a pair of parenthesis. This curve doesn't work so great on smaller, pointy nipples. The tips are covered with a smooth black plastic to cover the edges of the metal and help prevent the tweezers from slipping off. But they don't stay on. Even when I removed the plastic cover, they would not stay on. Something else is that the two sides were not identical. The little ring that you slide to adjust goes further up on one side than the other. That clamp would stay on for a while but the other one would not even begin to stay on and the adjusting ring doesn't slide very well.
Silver Chain Length is 20". The tweezer clamp is about 2.75".
It has no real mechanical function other than the sliding adjusting ring. It didn't stay put and was not very stimulating. Since I could not figure out how to get it to stay on both nipples for very long, I don't think it worked very well.
I tried to put one side on my clit but I think I need a partner to do it or another hand. So I cleaned it using toy cleaner but then laid it out on a towel to dry because I have a real strong feeling if gets wet for very long it might rust. I put it in a plastic zip lock bag after it was completely dry. Somehow since it really doesn't touch my bodily fluids as long as its not laying in a pile of dirt, I don't see needing to clean it very often except if you try to use it on your clit.
It was packaged in a plastic clamshell case with no user instruction in the package. It said nipple clamps and there was a woman on the package, but you could not see anything.
I read somewhere that clamps should not be left on for long periods of time, but since I could not get them to stay on even a minute, I don't think there is any problem.
Follow-up commentaryI still don't like it6 days after original review
The tweezers with chain still won't stay on. I wasted my money. Yuk I hate to do that. They certainly were not what I had hoped for.
