Whoo, You're Perfumey

These candles are worth it if you can find them and like stronger scents. They burn well and last a really long time.

If you like your candles to be strongly scented, then I highly recommend doing your best to find these.

It'll come in a brightly fun colored box with a flip top and the candle inside. Both the bottom of the box and the bottom of the candle have the same little sticker that tells you it's about 7.4 ounces, has a burn time of up to 50 hours, gives you the name of the scent, and all the fun burning instructions and warnings. I definitely think it will last at least up to the 50 hour burn time, I burned it for a few hours and barely made a dent.

When you pull it out of the box, you'll be met with almost a slap to the face of scent. I have the Flor del Sol, which Illume describes as "a bright combination with melon, peach and bergamot". I have no idea what bergamot is, but I can tell you that it definitely doesn't have any fruity tones to it at all. Others have described it as smelling like a sunflower, which I found amusing since that's what Flor del Sol translates to. It's definitely floral, and smells a bit perfumey.

The yellowy wax burns really clean, having a soy base, and won't leave those fun soot marks all over anything it's burning near.

When unlit, it's possible to catch little whiffs here and there of the scent, and when it's lit, it'll definitely scent a room. I highly recommend not lighting this one in the bathroom. But in a bedroom or living room, sure, why not. If you're sitting too close to the burning candle, it might start to give you a headache, and if you're really sensitive to stronger scents, you should avoid this candle.

The jar itself is a really nice addition to any collection of glass pieces. It's 3 1/2" tall and 3" across and when you've finally managed to use up all the wax, you can even use it as a really awesome drinking glass. It's got a light brown almost gray smokey edge to it, and there's a really neat pattern that isn't frosted in.

Here's a little picture for you of the glass:

Experience
I really like this candle a lot, although the strong scent does sometimes get to me as I'm not quite as big on floral scents as others. But I'm on the hunt to find the rest of them!
Follow-up commentary
Yes, Google did indeed lie to me when I did my initial search and I can't find these candles for sale anywhere, which is a shame, because I really wanted to try the other scents. However, I do still enjoy burning this one, although sparingly. The scent is still a little overpowering if I'm not in the mood for it, but I still like it.

Sucks they are discontinued. I had wanted on for a long time. Good to know they can be found else where though.

I really enjoyed mine this past summer. It took me a little while to get over the initial floral-shock but I was honestly a bit sad when the candle was (finally) done. It lasted forever.

I'm having a hard time actually finding them. Google appears to have lied to me

Avalein, I'm glad you enjoyed yours. That floral shock was like "whoaa!!!" when I first got mine, lol

Ug, I really don't like strongly scented candles. I have migraines. Sorry this was so strong. What was the base of this candle? Paraffin? Soy? I really like soy and beeswax candles.

I mentioned it being soy up in there when I described the wax

Thanks for the review. I found the Bougainvillea one on google over here but its far more expensive than Edens. I found them in a tin too - although Im not quite sure if they are the same as what you're looking for ... Im guessing not cause I just found them on google.

I love candles but not floral stuff. So I know to stay away from this!

Bergamot is a citrus fruit, and it's what's used to flavour Early Grey tea. Too bad it's been discontinued.

I really love this candle in spite of its intense floral-ness. I also was bummed about the discontinuation. I saw this candle in a TJ Maxx once, believe it or not, in the same scent though unfortunately. I want the other smells!

I so want the other scents too! But after a bit more digging, it looks like Illume has retired this line
