LR1130 Button cell batteries - batteries discontinued by The Screaming O - review by mistressg

I found myself in a dilly of a pickle recently when I finally ordered the Pirates Janine ring that had been on my wishlist for months. To my dismay all I had around were LR44 batteries! The ring came with 3 L1131 batteries, which I used fairly quickly because I really liked this ring! I had never had a bullet that took anything other than LR44 batteries, so I hoped I could find some of these elusive L1131 batteries (and cheap) because I wanted to stock up ASAP. Nothing quite as irksome as loving a toy, and going to use it only to find that the batteries have run out and you have no replacements! Especially when they are watch batteries, which aren't as easy to come by as say AA or AAA.

I went to EdenFantasys hoping to find some of these L1131s. They did not have them! I was concerned. What was I to do now? I searched the internet for cheap packs of L1131 batteries. What I found wasn't cheap. Often one L1131 battery for $4 or more (shipping not included)! Then I came across a very helpful site that listed a bunch of batteries that are equivalent to L1131s! I saw LR1130 on the top of the list! Hurray!

I went back to EdenFantasys, knowing that they sold both LR44 and Lr1130 batteries...in packs of 6! I had not needed LR1130s till now, but I was certainly glad to have them so conveniently on this site! I just received them today. I have to say, I love the packaging! Why? Because of the back. You can pop out the batteries one at a time, without having to take them all out and losing them in your toy drawer or having them get mixed in with other batteries only to be confused with other watch batteries at an inconvenient moment. Also, the package is fairly small, so it is very travel-friendly and easy to store. You could even fit it in your purse, if you needed. However, the packaging and logo is not terribly discreet ("The Screaming O" with what looks like a pinup/mudflap girl on top). I don't mind though, since I keep it with my toys anyway. I put 3 of these batteries in my bullet and buzzbuzzbuzz. I am very happy with these batteries, and I love that I put 3 in my bullet and have 3 left in the pack still. Plus, the other extra pack that I ordered! Once I open my second pack, I will be ordering more of them! Love it!

I am not sure how I feel about these now. It is very convenient that EF carries them. Especially since LR44s are hard to find in a pack or more than one individual battery. They don't really seem to sell them anywhere I live. I've found them locally once and got several packs. One thing I have noticed about these is that they do not last very long. Yes, they are tiny and can only pack such a punch, but they really don't last long. At first I thought it was just the one bullet I was using them with regularly. I tried them with another bullet and them seemed to last just as long. I have noticed a few times, they seem to have lasted 15 minutes, and it can't be all of my bullets. The idea of 6 batteries for $3.99- which I will admit IS cheaper than I have seen them for in several places at retail price - for a bullet that takes 3 LR44 batteries, only to amount to about 30-45 minutes of fun...Doesn't seem very worth it. But being that I can't really find them anywhere else, they might be a necessary evil. :(
