Glo a go water based lubricant by Topco Sales - review by El-Jaro

It's not the lube, it's the tube.

Eh. I thought this would be something different, just not this way. Only the tube glows and it isn't even refillable. If you NEED glow in the dark stuff, grab it. If you have a favorite water based lube already, keep going.
You won't lose this lube.
This is a totally unremarkable lube.

extremely useful review
"GLOW IN THE DARK LUBE! OH HECK YEAH!" That was my thought when I saw this lube as an assignment. I was really looking forward to trying this glow in the dark lube with a smoky penis pump for some sort of Matrix-y or Alien-esque sexy fun. Instead of seeing cool glowing goo on me while using a smoky penis pump under a black light, I was left with a regular pump with regular lube, no glowing penis goo. As it turns out, the lube doesn't glow, just the tube. That TOTALLY messed with my plans for this (and the pump).

Other than the glow in the dark tube with a paisley design on the front of it with glo-glo a go-go and Water Based Lubricant accompanying, this lube isn't much to write home about. It's pretty much your Ghostbusters' ectoplasm smelling water based lube with glycerin and parabens.

It is water based, i.e. compatible with all types of toys (except water based toys like icicles). It is thinner than the usual water based lube I use, but could work decently as an anal lube. I had to reapply it once each time I've used it, nothing special. I’d compare this to KY or Astroglide in terms of consistency, ingredients, and duration of use. I have my own preferences, so I’d put this ahead of those two lubes. I’d take a Topco product over anything I’d find for sale in a big-box or large retail store.

If you're gung-ho on "Made in USA", there is that.

"*Lubricant does not glow" is written on the back of the tube, wedged between two paragraphs like an afterthought.

There are 2 other products in the glow lube line: warming and silicone. Each one has its own color.

I think this lube would be best for a guy's entertainment; the ladies may prefer to pass on the glycerin and parabends. You could also open it one-handed, so that's convenient.
This lube is about what you'd expect from a basic water based lube.

While the lube doesn't glow, the tube glows like it's going out of style. I've seen the tube glow for more than 2 hours after turning off the light.
Follow-up commentary
This sat on the shelf for a while, as I prefer a different water-based lube (Maximus).

This will still be my back-up if I run out of my preferred and need lube.

I don't see why you could not use this with icicles. Would there be a bonding problem?

I've never thought of trying to use an icicle as a sex toy to be quite honest. I'm still sad only the tube glows
  • Bunnybabe
What a bummer that only the tube glows. It would've have been a real treat since I love playing with glow-in-the-dark things.
  • P'Gell
I suppose you could always use the tube as a night light.

Thanks for the review. Thanks for letting us know about the Glycerin in this lube, blech.

Ha ha ha, what a scam. Great review though.

LOL! I liked your plans for this, botched though they were by the bait-and-switch marketing tactic! I just love how the disclaimer is hidden away between paragraphs on the back of the tube to clarify that the lube itself does not glow. As if the fact the the tube glows is anything special!
