Extenze silicone lube - lubricant discontinued by Wet Lubricants - review by LinToxic

I received the Extenze silicone lube by Wet Lubricants as a review item. This is my very first silicone lube because I have always stuck to waterbased lubes due to the majority of my toys being made of silicone.

This particular lube has been touted to double as a male enhancing lube and aphrodisiac, but during use, I found that it really does not do much in terms of these effects. I have not noticed any significant change in the arousal levels of my partner or myself.

However, this silicone lube by Wet Lubricants is pretty good stuff by itself! It has a very mild, peppermint scent and has a soft, minty, tingly sensation. It is not as intense as say, the ID pleasure lube, but I actually prefer this as I do not like being distracted by intense, tingling, burning sensations during sex. As a silicone lube, it lasts a long, long time and is definitely waterproof as advertised!

The Extenze lube is very thin and runny. Among all of my lubes, which are all waterbased, this one is actually the runniest! It tends to travel from one area to another, so I advise that you use only a small drop as needed. It stays incredibly slick and a little goes a long way, unless you want to make a big, slippery mess!

The texture actually feels rather greasy instead of silky, but I find that it makes for a perfect light lube if you want to use it for anal.

It does not get sticky, but stays slick just like silicone is supposed to do. As a girl who is used to nothing but water based lube, the fact that the Extenze lube refuses to dry out really surpised me!

The aroma is also quite mild and pleasant. It smells of peppermint, but it is not overpowering and dissapates quickly after applying. I did try tasting the lube and it is mostly flavorless. However, this is silicone lube and definitely NOT edible. You should avoid having it in your mouth if you can! I only tasted a bit to see if its possible to perform oral with it after sex.

I was impressed by the performance of this lube, but I have no other silicone lubes to compare it to. It is quite slick and lasts longer than any other of my waterbased lubes and absolutely refuses to dry out! I like the fact that I did not have to reapply it all during regular sex.

As for the water, it stays put under water as advertised. However, I noticed that with constant friction and running water, some of it can get rubbed off and cuts down its lasting power by a bit.

Finally, cleaning up is a bit of a pain! I noticed that this lube "travels" and ends up creeping all over my skin and on my sex toys. If you have non-waterproof sex toys, I would suggest that you do not use it with this lube because it could creep up into your battery compartment and cause quite a bit of damage.

It mostly comes off with soap and warm water, but I find it takes quite a bit more effort to get rid of it completely compared to water based lubes.

The packaging is horrible! The bottle is a pop up spout like in the Sliquid lubes, which is a spout I always hated! It gets messy, and the amount of lube in it is difficult to control. I also find that since the lube is so slick and runny, the bottle leaks and makes a mess.

You do however, get a lot of product for its price. The bottle holds 3.9 oz of lube, and you only need a little anyway. The bottle is very informative too and has a complete list of ingredients, storage warnings, and other warnings.

The bottle warns that it is not a contraceptive, should be kept away from eyes and ears, and may stain some fabrics.

It also says to keep it away from silicone toys and is also flammable.

There is also a warning that you should consult a physician before use of the product if you are pregnant or nursing.
