Sure to please
Overall, this lube is an excellent staple product and does exactly what it is meant to do. There are no bells and whistles here and you might want to look elsewhere if the flavor is a factor for you, but for a safe water-based lubricant, you can't go wrong with Please!

Pros
Basic water-based lube
No bad ingredients
No bad ingredients
Cons
Slight smell/taste
The Please liquid lubricant is a very good water-based lube that is compatible with a wide variety of uses. Personally, I needed a water-based lube for solo play that had no nasty ingredients, and this fit the bill nicely. Please could also theoretically be used for couples' play and anal, but I wouldn't recommend it for oral sex due to the slight taste (more on that later).
The lube is packaged in a simple, clear bottle with product information displayed. Two sizes are currently available: 8 oz and 2 oz. It is not discreet in that it's very obvious what it is for (says "water-based lubricant"), but it's not explicit in any way. The ingredients are listed on the back: water/aqua, cellulose gum, guar gum, potassium sorbate, and citric acid. No disgusting parabens here and no glycerin, which is a requirement in my book!
The bottle says the lube is long lasting, washes away easily, and has a silky texture, and I wholeheartedly agree with all these points.
There is a very slight smell to the lube that I can't quite place...if I had to guess, it's either the cellulose gum or the guar gum. It's not unpleasant, I just want to mention it because you can sort of taste it as well (but it might be more of the smell coming through than the actual taste if that makes sense). For my purposes, this wasn't a problem, but I would recommend a different (perhaps flavored) lube if you're looking for something that works for oral sex as well.
The lube does exactly what it is supposed to do: lubricates! It made inserting my vibrator much easier and more pleasant. I had no reaction or sensation when I applied it—it feels just like water. The texture changes slightly when it's been on a while, like the silky feeling of lotion setting but without the creaminess. It does drip slightly (again, just like water) when applied.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
While Please was an excellent water-based lubricant when I had nothing else in my collection, it has since been superseded by another. I won't be throwing it out just yet, but the slight smell/taste of Please has me reaching for my Sliquid lube instead almost every time.
