Aloe Cadabra natural aloe - lubricant discontinued by Live well brands - review by Alan & Michele

Aloe Cadabra, made by Seven Oaks Farms in California, is a mostly organic sexual lubricant that is pH balanced to a woman's body. It contains nothing more than organic Aloe Vera gel, xanthan gum, citric acid, potassium sorbate (food grade), sodium benzoate (food grade), and organic vanilla essential oil. The absence of glycerin, parabens and other chemical ingredients makes it an excellent choice for those who have a lot of problems with lube allergies.

It comes in a palm-sized 1oz plastic bottle wrapped in a little maroon satin bag that is ideal for traveling. It would also make a nice gift for a special friend, or a classy little stocking stuffer.

Aloe Cadabra is a rather thick gel that doesn't run or spill even when warmed, so you have to squeeze the container to get it out. When light friction is applied, it thins to the consistency of liquid lip gloss and remains slick and silky, but still not runny, so it isn't difficult to apply it exactly where you want it.

The citric acid must be a major ingredient to this lube because it has a very definite lemony-soapy scent when applied, which fades to nothing as the lube dries. It's harmless if swallowed, with almost no taste but a mild flavor reminiscent of cucumbers, which is surprising considering the aroma.

When put to use, Aloe Cadabra performs fairly well during vaginal sex and makes an excellent personal moisturizer for day-to-day use. It lasts for several minutes during sex before it begins to dry, but water will only re-activate for a few more strokes so it's better to just add more. Aloe Cadabra never gets gummy no matter how much you use or how many times you re-apply it, and it's safe for condoms and sex toys so don't be afraid to use as much as you need. For masturbation, this lube starts off well but dries a bit quicker than most when a lot of friction is applied, and it's a bit thin to use as an anal lube.

After you're done, there's really no need to wash off this lube because it soaks in and softens your skin, but if you want to it will rinse off quickly and easily using only water.

I was disappointed that this didn't work better for masturbation, but I can appreciate the fact that it doesn't taste like a chemical cocktail when we use it; lube does get into some odd places sometimes. One thing that really needs improving is the bottle itself though. You do have to squeeze it to get the lube out, and I imagine that with as little as it is by the time we get to the bottom of the bottle we'll lose a fair amount of the lube from not being able to squeeze it hard enough to get it all out.

We've tried lots of lubricants, and about nine out of ten seem to either give me an allergic reaction or some sort of infection, but this one did neither. It's a relief to be able to add another one into my meager list of usable lubes, though I wish it had more uses for us. I tried it with a couple of toys during clit play and it seemed to pick the most inopportune times to go dry on me, plus it's not even near thick enough for me for ass play.
