Razzles warming lubricant - lubricant discontinued by California Fantasies - review by ViVix

A 2 oz. green bottle arrived. It was California Fantasy's green apple flavored Razzels warming lubricant. I had previously commented on my distaste for all things green apple flavored, but an administrator offered up this assignment anyway. A friend of mine was in town from college, and she tore off the little sealant that was under the cap. I stuck my pinky finger in and tasted it. For those of you that care for the flavor, it was true to its green apple name though it was somewhat sour. It also warmed my tongue slightly. My friend then stuck her finger in it and placed it on her tongue. Hilarity ensued as she tried to scrape it off her tongue while also attempting to yell "Too much! Too much!" Apparently, either a warming lube or a flavored lube is fine, but she felt the combination was less than desirable. What's funny about this is that on my lady bits, I feel absolutely zero warming sensation even with quite a bit of friction. I see the same story in other reviews as well.

Summary: True to flavoring, but not a great warming lubricant for your genitals.

Another thing about this bottle...2 oz. is pretty small, but I'm guessing if you're like me, flavored lube is more of an occasional use. The lid, however, is god awful. It's a flip-top lid, but it's cheap. It's hard to keep it closed tightly, and it would leak if I threw it in the drawer with my other lubricants. Luckily, it is non-staining. However, it also gets rather sticky.

Summary: Small cheap bottle, and it's sticky.

Now let's talk about those ingredients. I can see some of you ladies cringing right now as I list these. This contains glycerin as the first ingredient. The label also misleads by saying no sugar added when another ingredient, sucralose, is a sugar-substitute. This sugar substitute might encourage yeast infections. There is an even scarier ingredient though...methylparaben. This ingredient has been tied to breast cancer, skin damage, eye damage, and even to male sterility. Citric acid, flavor, and sodium benzoate round this list out.

Summary: Risky ingredients.

To finish up the information on this lubricant, it smells great, and it is long-lasting. However, due to its stickiness, it must be washed off with soap and water. At times, it even takes a couple of washes though it is water-based and should wash off much more easily. This lubricant also comes in a variety of other flavors, which you will see in my similar products area. I believe the other flavors are orange, watermelon, tropical fruit, strawberry, and cherry. These are 4 oz. bottles however, and as of yet, I've only seen the 2 oz. in green apple. The 2 oz. bottle is a good test-size though if you aren't really sure about this product, so I hope they will offer more flavor variety in this size soon.

I just don't use this lube very much at all. The ingredients are off-putting for me, and I can't imagine taking a shower break between oral and vaginal sex. I also think lube should either be flavored, or it should warm. Both at the same time was just a bit too much. I'm still looking for a great flavored lube!
