Halter chemise - chemise discontinued by DreamGirl - review by Mamastoys

The Halter Chemise by Dreamgirl wasn't what I expected at all. Somehow the model made it look much better than it did in person. The chemise only comes in a one size fits most which, according to the size chart should fit sizes 2-14, cups B-C, bust 32-38, waist 24-32, hips 34-40, inseam 35, rise 7 1/2-8, weight 60-160. Ok, I fall well within these sizes but this chemise did anything but fit me. It comes in three beautiful colors: coral, fuchsia, and turquoise. The set includes a chemise and a thong.

The breast area does not provide any support, padding, or under wires. The diameter around the bottom of the bust area is 28 inches around. The only support is from where the top is tied at the back of the neck, the same place bathing suits are tied at. This was a problem with me as I need support and since the front didn't offer any, the strings pulled on my neck and made it hurt. The two strings that tie around the neck are 17 inches and will stretch up to 32 inches. The flowery ruffles that come down from the strings are 12 inches long and the ruffle is three inches in width. From the top of the side seam to the bottom of the chemise is 20 inches long. If you have a long torso like me, it is a little shorter than I like. The seam were the ruffles is sewn to the body of the chemise is rather big and noticeable.



The thong that comes with the chemise is the typical thong. The front of it is 4 inches wide and narrows down to a 2 inch panty liner. The panty liner area is 3 inches long. The band around the hips is very stretchy and will stretch from 27 inches to 56 inches.



The chemise is made of nylon and spandex. It is very clingy and stretchy due to the materials it is made from. It is very sheer and does have ruffles, which can be a plus or con, depending on the person. It should be washed in cold water and line dried. Avoid bleach, drying in a dryer, or dry cleaning if you want to have it to use again.

The Halter Chemise comes in DreamGirl's typical box. It has the cutout in the front so that the product can be seen. On the back of the box there is the size and cleaning instructions.





I give it 4 stars overall even though it didn't fit me very well. It has a great concept and beautiful colors to choose from. The flowery pattern is very pretty.

I really liked the looks of this chemise but when I tried it on, I was very disappointed. The lacy ruffle that goes up the breast area would not cover my breast and when I tied it in the back around my neck, it immediately started hurting my neck. I think the stretchy strings added in pulling on my neck. The chemise is shorter than I like, even with the thong on. I didn't like the fit on me but it make work out great for others.
