Lovely innocence garter slip and thong - chemise discontinued by DreamGirl - review by Lily Night

The Lovely Innocence Garter slip is a chemise and thong set made by Dreamgirl. It comes in small, medium, large and extra large and we will be reviewing the large size.

This item came to us all wrapped up in the usual Eden pink tissue paper. There are 4 different tags to deal with, One larger cardboard one that has the same picture used on the product page on the front and the size color and a bar code on the back. On the back of the garter slip there are 3 small tags, one with the Dreamgirl logo, one stating that it was made in china and one giving care and sizing information. There is also one small tag on the back of the thong with the same care information as on the slip. If any of these were bothersome they probably could be easily snipped out.

The Garter Slip is made of a beautiful floral lace material with both frilly lace trim, plenty of feminine bows and some mesh ruffles across the bottom. The chemise has adjustable straps that aren't meant to be removable but if for some reason you really wanted to be it could be done. They adjust between 11 and 22 inches and have a couple inches of stretch beyond that just in case. The straps adjust with sliders similar to those one bras and the garters. At the base of the straps and the top of the front two garters are little ribbon bows that add a nice touch to the piece. It has four removable garters that attach with little hooks, similar to removable straps on a bra. The garters can be adjusted in length with a slider between about 7 and 10 inches long, and if that isn't long enough they have some stretch so they can stretch another inch or so beyond that. Stockings are attached by the use of a little rubber nub that fits into a metal loop on the bottom of the garter, to hide the working this part is overlaid by a short piece of ribbon giving it a more finished look. There are two rows of frilly lace running down the front of the piece to break up the lace a little bit and add a touch of flair. At the very bottom is a 1.5 inch wide trim of mesh frills that are even softer than the already soft lace that makes up the rest of the chemise.

The thong has an elastic waistband which is extremely stretchy, in fact it would make an excellent slingshot if desired. Laid flat it's about 14 inches across and will stretch to about 23 inches without complaint. The trim of the thong is all the same elastic material as the waist, but because the lace doesn't stretch quite as much the thong will stretch a bit, but not nearly as much as the waistband. The thong is made of the same lace as the rest of the chemise making it pretty see through. It does have a panty liner that is the same width as the thong and then is 3 and a half inches long.

The lace is 90% polyester and 10% spandex with some other ribbons and things thrown in here and there. The lace is fairly soft against the skin, but can be irritating if worn for a long time and stretches a bit just in case some stretch is needed. The tag says to hand wash in cold water and then line dry, but if done carefully it could probably survive a trip through the washing machine. Its easily folded up for travel or storage and doesn't seem very prone to wrinkling. Overall this is a great product for a fun evening, the lace is see through enough to give a hint of what's underneath, but also can hide enough so that not all the fun is given away.

The Garter slip fit just fine in the hips and the bust, but was a little loose around the waist which means this is fairly true to size as my girlfriend is a bit smaller than listed on the size chart. The bottom of the slip came down to just above the bottom of the butt so that a little bit was peeking out, which is much sexier than having the entire backside covered. The bust was a bit to small for my girlfriend's ladies and didn't offer so much support. Because of this and the fact that the lace was sensitive on her nipples she prefers to wear a bra with it.
