Almost Sexy

Overall, I really liked this product. The sizing is accurate, the cami and boy shorts are both attractive, and I was mostly satisfied. I cannot give this outfit 5 stars, though, due to the low quality and unattractive appearance of the included stockings. One would almost certainly need/want to purchase their own stockings to wear with this outfit, and I see that as a drawback when the product is advertised as having stockings included.

extremely useful review
The cami garter set arrived on a hanger, folded inside a cellophane bag. That is a bit of a departure from the nice, folded into pretty paper, presentation that I've seen with other lingerie I've ordered from EF. (I care little about packaging, but I wanted to point this out because the other lingerie I received seemed really special due to the way it was wrapped.)

This set consists of the cami, a pair of boy shorts, and a plastic bag containing stockings. There was a cardboard tag attached to the camp that advertised other lingerie made by the same company-- strangely, the cami was not pictured on the tag and all the lingerie on the tag was more attractive to me than the cami.

Care:

The tags on the boy shorts and on the cami say they are both 91% nylon and 9% elastane. (A quick internet search revealed that "elastane" is apparently another word for spandex.) The care instructions say to machine wash warm/gentle and line dry, iron if needed. I will say the boy shorts made it through the washer and dryer fine, but my dryer is extremely gentle and your mileage may vary. I haven't tried to wash the cami yet.

Size:
I ordered a 3X. According to the size chart, it should fit a size 20-24, D+ cup, 48-52" bust, 52-56" waist, 58-62" hips, 225-250 lbs. I am a size 22-24 at Lane Bryant, B/C cup, 46" bust, waist, hips, and weight within the listed range. The set fit me well, except for the cups-- I think D+ is probably a good estimate for the cup size needed to wear this outfit.

The boy shorts are 19" across, laid flat. They are just under 5" tall, from the seam to the top of the waistband. I would caution you to measure a pair of your own underwear to see if the 5" is a good height for you-- these hit me at exactly the wrong place and kept kind of sliding down/bunching in the front, but I know people are shaped differently so I'm not faulting the underwear for that. The boy shorts are comfortable and feel surprisingly well made. If it weren't for the fit problem, I would definitely wear them on a daily basis.

The cami is 13" tall from the bow at the center of the bra part to the bottom, 19" from the top of the cup to the bottom. The shoulder straps are adjustable and seem that they could be long or short enough to make the cups positioned correctly for anybody. The cami is just over 18" across, laid flat.

Appearance:
The boy shorts and cami are both made from nice fabric and most people would probably guess that they cost much more than they did. As I said, except for not quite fitting me I love everything about the boy shorts.

The cami itself has a corset-style laced back, and attached garters. The corset part was hard to lace while wearing the cami, and I couldn't get the lacing tight enough prior to putting it on. If you really care about having the tight corset look, that could be achieved but would probably need a partner's help. It looked nice on, except my breasts were too small to fill out the top. I had guessed that going into the situation, though, so no complaints there- it seems very true to size. The only part of the cami that wasn't "as advertised" is the fact that it is far more sheer than the pictures on the website suggest. Absolutely nothing is left to the imagination, which is why I'm not including pictures of the cami on myself in this review.

I haven't addressed the stockings yet, but I do need to mention them. They are made of really strange material- thicker than typical pantyhose, and much less stretchy- basically, you can get them to expand as much as you want, but they don't really contract when you're done. I tend to overstretch my stockings when putting them on, and I pretty much ruined these because by the time I got them on they were way too stretched out to stay up, even with the garters attached. Another drawback to the stockings is that they have reinforced toes. My husband's comment was "that was sexy until I saw your feet." Think about your grandmother's least sexy control top pantyhose- that's what the feet remind me of. Fully reinforced, fully opaque toe box that is extends about an inch up on my foot beyond the length of my toes. After wearing the stockings once, I had to throw them away due to the stretch factor and because my husband said he didn't want to look at them again.

Thanks for the detailed review. Too bad they dropped the ball with the stockings, but the rest sounds great.

Wonderful review. It's good to know you will need a different pair of stockings for this. Good thing I have a few.
