This sexy chemise is a great multi-purpose item. You can wear it under dresses as a slip, to bed as a nightie, or you can simply wear it to seduce your lover. For the price, you really can't go wrong! This is one item that every women should own.

extremely useful review
I purchased this slip when I was planning a getaway with my significant other. You see, I wanted something comfortable to sleep in -- but I also wanted to look sexy. As an added bonus, it's red, and my significant other just adores red lingerie.

All in all, I really love this slip, but it does have a few unfortunate flaws. Still, the price makes it well worth it, and I will gladly be purchasing another one.

What is it?:
For the price of $23.99, you'll receive two pieces -- the barely there red slip, and a matching g-string.

Slips are generally meant to be worn underneath dresses, but that's not why I purchased this. I purchased this with the idea of sleeping in it. I haven't found myself needing to wear this as a slip under dresses, but when I tried it on with one of my favorite dresses, it certainly worked well. As for sleeping in this? It worked amazingly as a night dress.

What's it made out of? How do you care for it?:
According to the tag, both pieces of this set are made out of 88% Polyester and 12% Spandex, exclusive of the decoration. I assume that the decoration includes the lace edging, and perhaps the bows.

The material feels extremely durable. It's thin, light and breathable, but the actual material somehow just feels "strong". I believe that this piece is going to last a long time due to the high quality material.

As for comfort? This piece is super comfortable! The fabric feels soft and silky against my skin, making it a dream to sleep in. The excellent feel of the fabric also promotes a sense of "touchability", which is always good for a lingerie item to have.

The material is also quite stretchy. You should be aware, however, that the fabric is meant to cling, therefore it's going to highlight your curves.

The lace trim on the slip is slightly rough feeling to my fingertips, but it doesn't irritate me during wear.

To care for this item, the tag recommends that you machine wash it in warm water, and then tumble dry on low. It's not recommended to wring or twist either pieces of the set. Honestly, I couldn't tell you if the slip holds up to that kind of care, as that's simply not what I do. I wash this one of two ways: I'll sometimes put it through the delicate cycle in a mesh lingerie bag, and other times I will hand wash it. I always hang dry the slip, as well.

Is it opaque or sheer?:
The material is quite thin, and if you hold it up to the light you can see through it. That being said, when the piece is being worn, it looks opaque! Finally an opaque night dress!

How's it fit?:
The barely there red slip is available in a wide variety of sizes. You can purchase this in small, medium, large, 1X, 2X, and 3X. I chose to purchase the large.

According to the size chart, a large should fit someone with the following measurements:
Bust: 39-41"
Waist: 30 1/2" - 32 1/2"
Hips: 42 1/2" - 44 1/2"

I typically wear a 34d bra, and I have a 32" waist. My hips measure 40". So... I was expecting this item to be a little big on me, everywhere but the waist. In fact, I was kind of hoping it would be a little loose, as I intended on wearing this for bed.

In reality, this piece is pretty snug. It's comfortable and sexy, but it's snug.

Due to the fact that the slip stretches a bit, I would say that this could comfortably fit the higher end of the size chart. In fact, it might even stretch to fit an inch or two larger than the size chart. Still, if you don't want it to cling to you like crazy, I'd recommend ordering a size (or even two) up.

Lengthwise, the slip comes to the bottom of my bum. I am 5'6", if that helps.

As for the g-string? It fit my 40" hips comfortably, which really surprised me. Usually included thongs are so small and uncomfortable, but I really like this one...

Unstretched the g-strings waistband measures 16". Stretched, it measures 22". Those measurements are taken with the g-string laying flat.
Experience
What's the design like:
The design of this slip is very simple. Most of the slip is just basic, solid red fabric that hugs your body.

The lower portion of the slip features a floral lace trim. The edging on the lace is a sort of scalloped pattern. I adore the lace, as it makes this very simple slip extremely sexy.

The lower half also features a slit. I really don't care for the slit, as it just falls at a very strange place on me. On me, the slip starts at right where my butt begins. It just feels..strange. I also worry that the slip might make it difficult to wear this item underneath certain dresses.

Now the top half of the slip features a small lace border. The lace border does not go all the way around the top of the slip; rather, it's only found on the front. The lace border is cute, but it rarely lays flat. Still, as I only wear this as a nightie, it's not a huge deal.

The bust portion of the chemise is accented with a little seam that causes a bunching affect in the middle. It should be noted that the more that you have to stretch the top of the bust, the less bunching will appear -- so you really don't want to have to stretch this slip to the maximum.

As for support? The bust portion of the slip features no underwire, and no padding. This means that the slip will not offer you any support on its own.

Now, the straps... The straps are not removable, but they are adjustable. Sadly I just don't feel like the straps are made with the same quality as the rest of the slip. They're just very thin, and they feel quite fragile.

As for the g-string? It's your basic g-string. There's a triangle in the front, and then the straps. The triangle is large enough to provide decent coverage. The g-string does feature a pantyliner, however the liner is really too small to be useful.

How's the quality?:
The quality is decent. There were a few loose threads, and the edging on the bottom lace trim is unfinished. Also, the straps feel cheap. Other than that, the piece is great quality. When you figure in the low cost of this item, it's great.
Follow-up commentary
I love this slip. It's comfortable, sexy, and it's able to be worn under dresses. I have worn it under a few of my tighter dresses, and it's been hidden well. All in all, it's a great slip.
