Bustier dress with hose - chemise discontinued by Escante - review by Pete's Princess

I was very excited about receiving this bustier. The color is absolutely gorgeous. I love the ice blue color. The material has a satin-like shine. The material is lighter and more comfortable than satin. The lace trim is soft and stretchable.

The front is beautiful due to the black lace accents. There is a black reverse triangle under the breasts. One drawback is that the lace is not symmetrical. From a distance it looks good, but close up you can see it. The lace goes from a flower pattern to a geometric pattern. The lack of symmetry is most noticeable in this transitional area. Black lace highlights the top of each padded cup. The lace is also around the bottom but is much thinner. There are four garters. Two are in the front and two are in the back. The clasps are plastic. The garters are not removable or adjustable. This is a definite drawback.

The back is where the magic is. The top is secured by the two-hook bra clasp at the top. The back plunges to approximately two inches from the bottom. The two sides are edged in black trim and held together by two black, lace bows. It falls just below my butt as on the model. This is a great way to show off your assets.

I ordered a large. Unfortunately, the cup size is much smaller than expected. You will definitely need to order up a size (or two). I have a 34D cup size. I anticipated it might be a bit tight as the sizing states a C/D cup. However, the cup size for the large is more like a B/small C. The cups are molded. The padding is good. It will add a cup size to your breasts. The cups are very supportive and the fit is adjustable. The black straps are thin and adjustable. The top is fashioned like a bra.

The rest of the bustier fits me loosely. I expected that it would be a bit loose, given I ordered up a size. I have ordered a large in other Escante lingerie, and the cup sizes ranged from perfect to a bit snug. The proportions on this bustier would be great for a pear-shaped body.

What Escante refers to as a thong, in reality, is a g-string. The body of the g-string is a triangle of the main material. There is a small, triangular, cotton liner at the crotch. The rest of the g-string is made of black elastic. I generally find the Escante g-strings to be a bit big, as I have to order up a size. I am not a fan of the g-string.

The hose are average in quality. They are thin but do not run easily. It is very nice to have them included. They do not stay up on their own so you must wear them with the garters.

The tag is a large, white tag with care instructions on both the bustier and g-string. Unfortunately, Escante puts these large tags on all their lingerie. It is made of 90% Nylon and 10% Elastine. It is made in Mexico. The tag instructs you to "Machine wash warm gentle cycle. Wash separately. Use only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Do not wring or twist. Line dry. Iron low temperature if necessary."

This is an exquisite bustier. The ice blue bustier has black, lace accents. The fabric is comfortable enough to lounge around in or wear when you are cooking that romantic dinner.

My reasons for not liking it are due to the fit on me, and do not have anything to do with the quality. I do not like to spill out of the top of the cups when I bend or move. The cup size was just too small for me and the rest of the bustier was way too big. It is a great piece, just not for me.
