Presentation

When I saw this babydoll set, I thought it looked sexy and liked the color.
I originally hesitated at the slightly inflated price tag, but I took a chance and hoped that quality would prevail.

It came to me wrapped in pink tissue paper, courtesy of Eden's Fantasys packagers. The babydoll was folded, with the thong carefully placed beneath it. There was a tag on the babydoll, from DreamGirl with a photo of the model and the design and size on the back.

Very simplistic.



Materials and Craftsmanship

The set is made up of 90% Polyester, 10% Spandex (exclusive of trim, which I believe translates to the three shiny bows).

This is where quality really shines through for DreamGirl. With my last order from EF, I bought this along with another DG item priced $3 cheaper. This one stands as the higher quality piece.

The skirt part of the babydoll is mesh and sheer, but the double layer makes it pretty solid. The lace cups are without any support other than the elastic band underneath them, which goes around the back to the bra-style hook and eye closure.
The straps are soft, stretchy and adjustable. At the end of each strap, where it attaches to the cup, there is a small bow. You can't detach them. There is a larger bow at the center of the bust, which isn't able to be removed either (but is seems appropriate for this piece so I don't mind).



The thong is sheer, pink, and very basic. I don't find DreamGirl's thongs to be particularly comfortable. It's something about the elastic waistband part, it just seems a little abrasive for me.
There is a cotton liner in this thong, but I found it to be too far back when I wore the thong as it was supposed to fit on my body (extremely low in the front and unflattering).



The fabric is soft and it doesn't make me itchy at all, which is very nice and appreciated. The quality is great, except for one of my bows isn't absolutely perfect in size/shape (I think it got a bit scrunched when sewed onto the strap, and it's really only OCD that makes me notice it at all).

Care
You should wash this by hand in cold water, line dry (per DG).
Inquiring minds will find this garment was made in China.

Because of quality, I would feel comfortable putting this in the washer with other delicates (or in a lingerie bag / tied pillowcase) on cold. I would still hang it up to dry, though, since I wouldn't want it to shrink.
No bleach or ironing will be necessary.

Sizing

I got this set in a size large.
DreamGirl says that a large should fit women sizes 10-14, C-D cup, 36-38" busts, 28-32" waists, and 38-40" hips.

I myself wear sizes 8-12 (depending on brand and garment), I wear a 36C bra, my bust is 32" under and 39" fullest, my waist is 30", and my hips are 39" with my butt extending to about 43".

I found this garment to be pretty flexible in sizing. HOWEVER, I would purchase based upon bra and band size (with understanding that the thong may end up too big or small, but you aren't buying this set for the thong).

I think a Large should fit women who are 31-34" under the bust, have C-D cups, any size under 36" waists, and hips/butts beneath 45". Keep in mind, my breasts do not yet need much support or lift, and if you are looking for either or those things, you will probably want to pass on this babydoll.

Thong: 28" - 40" max (and at that point, it will be digging in. A lot.

Overall Impression

I really like this piece, I think the quality is awesome for a slinky little piece of lingerie. The thong fits but probably will never be worn, and the top does well enough to conceal any tummy insecurities.

However, I will say this: Because of the open back, and flowing front, this design CAN cause women with small waists and large hips to sort of go undefined and seem pear shaped and possibly bottom heavier than they would like to look.
I offset this by playing with the flowing mesh part a lot, and posing with my hands just above my hips, jutting a hip out, etc.

I should put a disclaimer on which button I chose for this. I like this piece, but I am not as fond of it anymore... but it has no FAULT as a babydoll.

I just realize I prefer front-opening pieces and ones that may be a bit sexier than this one. It is very well-made, but I don't find myself reaching for it very often.

I would still definitely recommend it to others that might like its style more than I currently do. It's still a nicely made piece.
