Isabelle set with hose - bra and panty set discontinued by Escante - review by lalapetitee

I saw this set when it was first added to Eden and I knew I had to have it. The garter belt really caught my eye and it came with pantyhose. Since this was going to be my first garter set, I liked that it included everything I would need. Getting four pieces for the price was a total steal. I wasted no time and ordered my set in a size small.

*Material/Durability*

This set is made of 100% mesh (Nylon). The bra doesn't have any padding that I can feel but it does have underwire. The bra cups do not stretch but the side bands do. The garter is completely adjustable. The g string is see through mesh and has some stretch to it but holds its shape when worn. The entire set feels well-made and the lace doesn't snag easily. I have not noticed any loose threads or seams.

*Design/Quality*

This set includes a shelf bra with no padding and has underwire. This style of bra is meant to expose the breasts and still offer lift and support. This bra is my favorite since it allows me to enjoy nipple stimulation while wearing it. The bra measures 26 inches around when it's not stretched. There is no band underneath the underwire. The side bands are sheer and the most stretchy part of the bra. The bra features a double hook and eye closure. There are 3 sizes to pick from and they are spaced around 1/2" apart. The straps are the same thickness of a traditional bra. They also have a bit of stretch and are adjustable. The middle of the bra is made of see through mesh and has a small black bow that is well placed. There is an Escante and care tag in the side band of the bra, but it can't be felt when worn.The shelf bra compared to a strapless Victoria Secret bra.

The gorgeous garter belt measures 28" around when it isn't stretched and 36" when it's stretched. It has a 3.75" opening at the back where it can be extended another 3" with a bra strap like extender. It has a bit of stretch to it. When the 7" extender is fully extended it measures 32" around, when it isn't stretched and 41" when it is. The garter can be slipped into or unhooked like a detachable bra straps would be attached or removed. The garter has 4 triangles, two at the front and two at the back. The triangles are 3.5" wide and spaced 2" apart at the front and 4.5 at the back. The garters are 6.5" long at their minimum and 8" long at their max, the belt where the red and black materials meet measure 2.75" thick. The hose clips are plastic but sturdy and easy to attach. My garter belt came with the black lace flipped up where it looked like the edges were straight and not scalloped. If you look at the product pictures, the edges are scalloped. I took a closer look and sure enough all I had to do to fix it was flip it down. The extender and back opening.

The G string panty was my least favorite of the entire set. It is made of a see through mesh 5x7x7 triangle with side bands that measure about 14" across. It has a “T” back that is not sewn to the band that goes around your waist so it is slide-able. It does feature a cotton lining with a space for a bullet if you want to insert one. However they didn't scream well made to me but they did the job.

The hose are your standard black thigh high. They do not have a reinforced heel or toe seem. They are well sewn at the toes though. They don't look as if they would last more than 2-3 uses. I have used them 2 times and they do have a few pulls in them but nothing major.

*Care/Storage/Packaging*

This set can be hand washed in cold water and laid flat to dry or hung. I have personally tossed this set in the wash on delicate inside a tied pillow case. It didn't come with any storage, just pink tissue paper and a tag. The tag had 3 pictures from this set collection on it. I like that I can reuse the pink tissue paper for gifts.

*Fit/Sizing*

My measurements: dress size is a 2, 34B(32")/25"/35". I ordered a small and from the Escante size chart I should fall between a 2-4 dress size, A/B cup, 32-34" bust, 24-26" waist, 30-32" hips. I actually fall into the medium size range when it comes to my hips but my breasts are too small for the bra. I went with the small because of it and the set fits me great with a few flaws.

The bra sort of made my breats look pointy. The cups are almost high enough to cover my nipples but not quite. My nipples peek out instead of being displayed but I can still get great lift from the bra. I'm guessing if you are in the c range you will like this bra more but us small to larger B cups may have to use pasties to avoid the pointy cone boobs.

The garter belt is where this set really shined. It fit me perfectly even though my hips are larger than the chart recommends for the small size. At 35" my hips are a great match for the adjustable quality this garter belt offers. If you fall between a 28" and 41" and have a bust measurement within A to C cup grab a small. It will stretch and trully adjust to those sizes. It may cause the roughed detailing to be less visual but not completely and the bra will still fit.

The G string was the worst fit for my body type. I have wider hips but a smaller rear and it just didn't fit well. It gave me a weird 80's high thong effect if I made it fit me. If I didn't I had extra room in the straps. It wasn't cute. I fixed it by cutting a 1/2" off both ends and tying them together. It worked and didn't feel uncomfortable. You can even tie them into bows.

The thigh highs fit my thighs snug but not tight. They don't slip down even when I don't wear them with garters. They don't bunch around my ankles either. I was happy with them since my thighs only measure 20" around they managed to stay up and not be too loose.

*Overall*

I give this set a 5. I would give it a 4.5 if I could since the bra made my boobs look pointy. I think this is a great quality set for the price you pay for it. So far no snagging or undone seams so I will be trying more from Escante.

I wish there was a selection for "I still love it" because I do! I have purchased several sets after this one and none highlight my body the way this set does. I have washed it over 8 times and it has faded, shrunk or torn. My partner always selects this one for me to wear out of 20 or more other pieces. If you are thinking of getting it...do it! You will love it!
