Tesa ethereal fantasy set - bra and panty set discontinued by Escante - review by BlackCherry

This is a wonderful set. The colors go together perfectly; the soft pink is complimented by the edgy black. Unlike a lot of pink sets, the pink definitely isn't overwhelming and instead is quite pretty. I absolutely love the way this set looks and think it's gorgeous!

The bra is well made and comfortable. Although it only comes in standard sizes, the different sizes should fit a variety of people. I usually wear a 32A and ordered a small. It fit well on the smallest set of hooks. There are three sets of hooks, so it could accommodate another 4 inches or so. The cups were roomy -- not large enough that it looked like it was too big for me, but large enough that someone with a B cup could probably wear this. The bra was my favorite part of the set. One thing you can't actually tell from the model picture is that the black bra band is sort of see-through and looks like lace, which is a pretty touch!

The garter slip that comes with this is tiny. In the model's picture, it looks like it mostly covers her underwear, but this isn't true at all. Wearing it, it barely covered the top half of the thong on me. It's only for decoration; there's no way this could hold up any stockings that need serious reinforcement. If the stockings can mostly stay up on their own, it may be okay, but otherwise, this isn't going to do you any good. Additionally, if you're wearing it under a dress or skirt that's tight at all in any way, the ruffles will show and it doesn't look good.

The other thing that's tiny in this set is the thong. The thong is a G-string, so it's only meant to cover a bit of the front and offer a little bit of material underneath. The front is a simple triangle of see-through mesh, much like the mesh on the garters. For a size reference, the entire fabric part of the thong is about as large as an iPhone and no larger. If you like a bit more coverage, this isn't for you. It's too uncomfortable for me to actually wear under my clothing, so it will only be used in the bedroom, if that.

The black hose is much like any other pair of stockings that comes in a lingerie set. They're thin and don't stay up well on their own, but if you're careful with them, they're a decent pair of stockings. I tend not to like stockings like these because they're too thin and I always get a run the first time I wear them, but people who are more careful may be able to get more wear out of them.

The set came on a standard hanger with a plastic bag covering it. There was a tag showing the Escante set (including other pieces that aren't here, but are of the same style). As soon as I got it, I cut the fabric tags off the bra and thong, because they are visible when wearing them. Definitely hand-wash this set to keep it looking good!

So, I made a mistake with this set, which was that I didn't notice I threw it in the wash with the rest of my clothes. Now, most of my bras can survive a single run in the wash, but this one didn't. When I got it out, the cups were lumpy and wrinkled -- certainly something that can happen with any bra, but something to keep in mind if you're the type to sometimes throw it in the wash. This bra cannot handle that!
