Cute But a Bit Tight

My overall impression of this item is not a good one. I will NOT, N-O-T, be buying another item from this company. I am disappointed with the improper sizing of the clothing and the way they only cater to unreasonably small women. This is great for the women who are naturally skinny, but the curvy women who just want a decent shirt are going to be very upset with their purchase. Not worth it, ladies!

extremely useful review
I honestly expected this shirt to be tight off the bat, so it wasn't any surprise when the XL was close to being an American size medium. It is not at all flattering, and actually looks quite cheap when you see the material. The purple and black rugged design that you see on the model, which appears to be woven together, is actually just purple and black printed onto a white Polyester/Spandex shirt. It's thin enough to be a handkercheif and the strap almost busted as soon as I put it on.

It is quite a long shirt, and I was hoping it "bunched up" a little like you see it on the model. That rugged, bunched up look is actually just print as I had mentioned. Although you can sort of make it bunch up, it still shows all the bumps and curves that you were attempting to hide by wearing such a dark color. I didn't like this at all. So basically, if you're chunky, give up and find another brand that you know fits you best. I tried to wear some shapewear to make this fit better, which worked until I got annoyed with the straps.

The material, like I mentioned, is thin as can be. There's no way around that! It gets sweaty very easily, and feels like a bathing suit top in my opinion. I realized that it is actually white, and the design is printed... Seriously? Something this expensive isn't at least a high quality dyed fabric? I would have expected more. It looks nothing like it did on the model!

Having nice, perky, C cup breasts, this shirt showed them off quite well. I did notice that the straps cause it to hang a little odd. I found myself fidgeting with them quite often so I eventually just changed shirts and said hell with it. It may be my broad shoulders, but they aren't at all what many would call "manly" or "chubby". They are just broad shoulders. I think a very thin girl with not-so-broad shoulders would look best in this.

When washing this fabric, you want to use cold water and a very gentle detergent made for colors. I did this, and the color still faded. So I'm guessing the fading cannot be avoided. Put the spin on low, and hang dry rather than throw this in the dryer. The edges are actually frayed, although it is hard to see online, so you want to avoid increasing those fraying edges... Otherwise, you'll end up with a ball of thread!

I would have given this shirt to my little sister, but the cut is far too low. I suppose I could pin it up and add some detailing or "bedazzle" it, but that's a lot of work. I feel like I seriously wasted my money on this one! It's such a shame to get a shirt and have it not fit!
Experience
I'm really disappointed and there's no way around it. This is the second shirt from this company that has fit awfully, and has been two to three sizes smaller than it is shown online. I guess the sizes just run small and I'll have to deal with that. I'm absolutely dreading trying on the other two shirts I purchased. Ready to give most of them to my smaller friends who will probably get a better fit.
Follow-up commentary
My views have not changed on this top. I wish it was made with higher quality and I wish it was made to fit women of all sizes.

The size chart for Espiral is ridiculous. They have no concept that there might be girls in the world larger than a fashion model.

I'm confused. What size are you? Are you normally an XL? Where is it tight exactly? You also think this is expensive? Why is that? What do you normally pay for for a shirt like this? I wonder if their shirts are just different from their dresses because those have been very true to chart so far. Was this at least true t their chart? Or did you just buy based on your usual size? ... sorry for all the questions!

Why such a high rating if this was a complete flop? I'm confused, too.
