Fishnet bikini set - bra and panty set discontinued by Baci - review by SMichelle

The Basics:
The two piece bikini set is brought to us by Baci. The packaging states that it was designed in Paris, and made in China. This adorable set is made in three different colors: pink, red, and black. All of the colors are very pretty, but sadly, this set is only available in one size fits most.

Anyway, I purchased the pink version, hoping for the best. Sadly the one size fits most did not fit me.

The Material:
Both pieces are made out of 90% Nylon and 10% Spandex.

With the exception of the black straps, and the black edging, the piece consists mainly of a fishnet material. The fishnet is see through, so this isn't something that you're going to want to wear if you're looking for coverage.

The fishnet material feels durable, and I do believe that this set would hold up nicely to extended use. That being said, you should keep in mind that the fishnet material could still snag on things, so be careful.

The entire set is extremely stretchy, but this is still not going to fit many people properly.

The Care:
The tag recommends that you machine wash both pieces in warm water, and then tumble dry low. Use non-chlorine bleach only when needed, and do not dry clean.

I would recommend that you place the set in a lingerie bag before washing, as I would be worried about the material snagging on something. That being said, I haven't washed this set as I am planning on returning it.

Sizing:
Unfortunately this set is only made available in one size fits most.

Baci's size chart recommends the one size fits most to anyone who fits in the following measurements:
Cups: B-C
Bust: 32-38"
Waist: 28-32"
Hips: 34-40"
Weight: 90-160"

I wear a large c/small d cup, my waist is 32", and my hips are 40". Being on the high end of the size chart, I knew this piece would be snug, but I also could see that both pieces in this set were adjustable. I thought I would be able to make this work... Sadly I was wrong.

I wouldn't recommend this for anyone above a B cup. The bra just does not offer any support, and it's really quite small. It did fit me, but my breasts kept popping out.

As for the panties? They did fit my hips, but they didn't cover everything I wanted them to.

Really, though, this set is best recommended to petite individuals

I took the following measurements with the pieces laying flat:

Bra laying flat, smallest possible setting, unstretched: 13"
Bra laying flat, largest possible setting, unstretched: 15"
Bra laying flat, largest possible setting, stretched: 23"
Bra height (up and down) laying flat: 4"

Panties, laying flat, smallest possible setting, unstretched: 9"
Panties, laying flat, largest possible setting, unstretched: 16"
Panties, laying flat, largest possible setting, stretched: 21"

The Design:
This set is pretty basic.

The strapless bra is designed to slip over your head. Most of the bra is made out of a fishnet material; the exceptions to this are the back straps, and the black border. The back straps on the bra are adjustable. To adjust them, you simply slide the little plastic bit, much the same way that you would adjust bra straps.

The bra is cute, but it offers absolutely no support. For that reason, busty girls? You're probably going to want to look elsewhere.

The included thong is much the same as the bra, in the sense that is made primarily out of fishnet material. It also has the black trim going around the edges, and the black adjustable straps. The adjustable straps on this piece are found on each side.

The Packaging:
This set comes packaged in your standard cardboard case. The case has a picture of the model on both the front and back. The basic information about the product is listed, though the packaging offers no information on sizing.

The Quality:
Straight out of the package, there were a few areas where the fishnet was torn from the black trim. I could not notice these areas unless I looked very closely. The material does feel sturdy, it just doesn't appear to have been put together very well.

All in all, I give this a 2, for the quality issues, the lack of bust support, and the fact that this item will not fit most people.

I wrote in my original review that I was going to be returning this, but I ended up keeping it.

It's still too small for me, but I am able to make it work by pairing this set with other lingerie items.
