FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

I’ve always had an attraction to tube tops, so this one screamed my name when I first saw it. I had images of me being slim and wearing this for a partner while part of my ass peeks out the bottom of the dress. I just wish the tube top had of been thought out better.


BRAND & COLOUR:

The Divine White Babydoll and G-string is an Espiral creation that consists of three pieces. This set is made in Colombia.

I don't normally go for white cause I always feel like it makes me look bigger. But I chose this one in white due to the fact it looks crisp, sophisticated and smart. Eden also sell this sexy number in black.


MATERIAL:

The three pieces to the set are a g-string, lace tube top and a backless mini dress. Each piece is made from 96% Nylon and 4% Elastane.
Apart from the lacy bottom, the dress is made of tiny netting which can snag on nails if they aren't manicured. This isn't obsessive, but something to note so you don't ruin the outfit. The top of the dress gathers on a piece of white ribbon that has a width of ½” and length of 35 ½”. If you're not careful, the ribbon can be pulled completely out – it's not stitched in place at all. A couple of hand stitches in the middle would prevent it from being removed fully. Espiral believe in using Stop Fray on the cut edges of their ribbon to prevent it unravelling with time.

On each side as well as the middle of the back and front just above the lace strip is a small length of vertical elastic. When stretched out these are 6” in length. I believe it just adds a little extra to give the dress more character. Or perhaps they will somewhat help to draw the eyes away from any minor trouble areas the wearer may have.

The tube top is just a strip of lace that matches the bottom of the dress. It has a slight sheen in places and soft matte in other areas of the pattern.

Netting makes up the entire front triangle of the g-string with a very small triangle of cotton for the crotch lining. I wish they had of stitched the top edge of the cotton piece against the netting instead of allowing it to form a pocket. But I believe a lot of g-strings are made this way unless the whole front is done from cotton.


FIT:
I went for the XL due to the fact that I'm still learning the US sizing for lingerie and that Espiral is a fairly new company on Eden. I prefer to go larger in case a company make their clothing on the small side.
Eden also sells this in S, M and L.

The sewers of this outfit thought it would be funny to stitch the sizing and material tags on the lace seam at the back, so they can tickle your fancy while wearing it. I'm not a fan of having a clothing tag fondling my butt crack, so that had to go!
I'm 5'3 and if it wasn't for the small butt covering piece in the back it would sit mid-thigh on me.
Naturally with it being so stretchy it does hug ALL the curves. But it is a comfortable fit that allows you to move freely. Sex while wearing this one would be extremely easy.

The sizing runs big. Going by Espiral's sizing chart, the XL should only fit a 40” chest, 31” waist and 40” hips. Below are measurements of each piece stretched out, in which it will fit reasonably larger sizes than what their chart states.


Dress:
From the neck to the bottom of the lace measures almost 31” without being stretched. The butt covering in the back is only 7 ½” unstretched. So if you have a full figured butt like mine, there will be a reasonable amount of visible crack on either the top or the bottom – depending on which section you prefer to flash more of. The netting stretches length wise as well as in the width. The lace on the bottom is 16” when laid flat and will fit a maximum of 60” in girth.


G-String:
Unlike most g-strings I have come across, this one has some good stretch in the waist elastic – 15” when laying flat and 26” stretched out. That caters for 52” in hips or waist, depending where you like to wear the elastic. Measuring from the top front of the triangle through to where the crotch elastic meets the waist piece is 15”. This can stretch up to 22” being that the netting is stretchy as well.

Tube Top:
The tube top has an unstretched width of 13 ½” when laying flat and will cater up to a total girth of 51”. Like most laces, it will only stretch in the width. Unfortunately, Espiral didn't consider anyone with breasts larger than about a C cup to be wearing the tube top. If you are very firm and don't mind a strip around the middle, then you'll be fine. But if you have D or DD breasts and they aren't firm, it's not going to look so hot. The lace is only 5 ¼” deep and I know to cover my DD breasts I need a good 9” which gives me a little at the bottom and enough up the top to help give a little support. This just looks awful on my breasts.


CLEANING ~PACKAGING:

There is no actual wording on ways to clean this one. It just has four small symbols on the back of the material tag. I'm not totally familiar with two of the symbols, so I shall describe those. Because of the natural of netting and lace, it is hand washable only. I washed my by hand, but if you had a lingerie bag it would probably be fine on a gentle cycle.
Do not iron as it will melt. The first symbol I'm not sure of is a triangle with the letters CL in the centre and crosses through the entire image. The other is a row of slanting rounded rectangles (they kind of look like a line up of paddle pop sticks) with a big cross through them. These are on all three pieces.

The Divine Babydoll arrived in a clear plastic package which features a small type of coat hanger on the top and sticky closure at the bottom. There is a cardboard insert that surrounds the outfit and sports the front and back images. On the front is a model face on wearing the outfit – no nudity. The back shows a rear view of the model showing some butt along with some smaller images of Espiral's other lingerie pieces.
It would be fine for giving as a gift and even for storing you're lingerie in if you don't have room in a draw or to hang it up. With rough handling the sides can split and the sticky closure may not hold up too long if it's opened and closed often.


EXPERIENCE:

Although most g-strings dig in, this one is very comfortable and I barely noticed I was wearing it.
Because the lace and the netting are see through, I'd recommend keeping this one for the private viewing of your special someone/s. Although, it could be made suitable for wearing in front or others if you swap the g-string for some boy shorts (or standard panties) and a white cotton tube top. I plan on purchasing a cotton tube top for mine so my breasts are covered and slightly more supported.
Other than the lacy tube top, I'm quite pleased with this one.
