Erotique butterfly baby doll - babydoll and panties set by Cal Exotics - review by Abbeh

This is a perfectly nice set, however it just isn't my cup of tea. While the color is a nice dark lavender and I like the feel of the babydoll fabric, the g-string isn't very flattering (causes side rolls) and the top cuts off at an awkward place, i.e. just above my belly. Lingerie is supposed to be skimpy and fun, but I'm more into something with a bit more coverage.

Also, the idea of a crotchless g-string is kind of redundant, considering this needed more fabric than a conventional g-string just so it could be crotchless! How silly! It's just as easy to pull a string aside and go to town that way.

The materials are all high-quality and the cute little butterflies embroidered on everything are a nice touch. I really want to love this piece but I just wish the top was longer and maybe a boy short or bikini bottom was offered instead. Then again this doesn't look like it's marketed towards people who are more nervous about their own body.

All in all, I'm glad I had a chance to review this because it definitely pulled me out of my comfort zone and introduced me to a new product. I tend to go for long lingerie and it was interesting seeing myself in the mirror wearing this. Interesting and comical, actually. I'll be keeping the top, because I like the color and it's good quality. Maybe someday I'll be comfortable enough in my body to wear it. The g-string probably wont be kept because it really pulled on my hips and made the extra me spill out around it. Not very flattering if you ask me. If g-strings and thongs are your thing, then this may just be perfect! I haven't tried on enough of them to know a good one from a bad one. Some day, though... haha!

The g-string looked pretty silly on me and the little bumps on the ribbon going up the butt were pretty uncomfortable. I imagine there must be a comfortable thong/g-string out there but lord knows I haven't met it. For all I know this is perfectly normal!
The top fits ok, though I do wish it was longer... but that's just my own insecurity coming out. The halter straps are more than long enough and should be able to accommodate anyone. And the elastic around the top is just the right strength for sitting comfortably and flattering the girls.
This isn't something I'd be drawn to in a store, but for what it is, it's pretty nice.
