Gold and black dress (large)

I was incredibly disappointed with this dress. The quality and fit of the bottom part was OK, and the length was great. However, the cheap material and excess, droopy fabric on top ruined the entire piece. I will never wear this and I honestly don't think it would flatter anyone with any body type.

Pros
The skirt part is OK; it's long enough to wear out of the bedroom.
Cons
The top is hideously saggy, unflattering and cheap; the band/belt is tight/unadjustable.

extremely useful review
I can sum this dress up in one phrase: A disappointing, unattractive, awkward, and droopy mess.

The product page describes this Espiral dress as a "two-toned temptation with satin sex appeal." Trust me, this is very, very far from being the truth.

It's made from 93% polyester, and 7% elastan, and measures 36 inches from top to hem. There were no washing instructions attached, and it came folded in a small, plastic package, with no hanger. It costs $36.99.

After reading the Espiral sizing chart, I decided to try a large. My measurements are: chest 35 inches, waist 30 inches and hips 42 inches. My cup size is B 34 and I usually fit in a size 7 dress and am about 5'4.

Though the size fit me well enough and I was happy by its long length, the top ruined the entire dress. It's a cowl-neck style, but rather than draping, it droops. As a halter-style top, it ties up in the back of the neck. Unfortunately, it looks more like a big apron, with cheap material that wrinkles easily, and way too much material to look nice. The pictures say it all.

This shows the dress tied comfortably at the neck. You can see how unbelievably saggy the fabric is.

Here, I tied the top as tightly as I could. The sides were cutting into my skin and were very uncomfortable. Still, the top was saggy.

You can see that the back has an elastic band, making it look terribly puffy and ugly.

You can see from the pictures that the band is so tight and unadjustable in the middle that it just adds bulges underneath it, while the top adds flab on top of it! Now, who would want a whole bunch of unnecessary, unshapely bulging? The bottom is stretchy and comfortable (except for the band), with ruching down the sides.

In all, I would absolutely never recommend this outfit to anyone. I warn you: stay clear and pass on this dress!
Experience
While I would never, ever wear this because of the unflattering top, I am going to try to salvage the bottom part by unstitching the top from it. I'll use it as a skirt or tube dress (see pictures). The only reason I am giving it a two-star rating is because of the versatile alternatives I can make with the bottom. Otherwise, I'd give it a big zero if I could.

Follow-up commentary
I hated this dress and was incredibly disappointed with it right from the start. To try to make some use out of it, I cut off the hideous top and threw it out while saving the bottom as a regular skirt. Unfortunately, because the band of the skirt is still way too tight and I feel the material is a bit see through, I haven't worn it since. Such a waste.
