These are absolutely adorable. They're what I would consider a hipster style panty in a 95% cotton / 5% spandex blend, knit, with a print of random frames from classic Batman comics featuring Batman, Robin, Joker, and some minor thugs (I never paid much attention to the dates when I was reading the anthologies as a child, but by the art style and dialogue, I'd say these are fairly early, perhaps late 40s or really 50s). The front has a painted bat logo.

I normally wear a US size 7/L, so these were a little snug, but not so bad that I feel like I'm falling out of them--definitely a 6/M. The cotton/spandex fabric is soft and comfortable, except for the painted portion, which feels a little rubbery. The side seams are fairly pronounced but not irritating. The gusset has an extra layer of plain white cotton. The black elastic waistband is of typical width and thickness for this style; it's comfortable, but may roll down of you normally have that problem. All seams feel strong and of good quality.

At the front and back of each leg hole (almost exactly centered on the leg), there is a bright yellow garter strap attached with a hook (like a convertible bra strap) through a very short loop of the same width and fabric as the strap, sewn to the inside of the hem. The straps are adjustable from about 6-12 inches and slightly stretchy. This wasn't clear from the online description, so I was absolutely delighted at the prospect of wearing them with and without the straps. The bottom of the garter straps features a regular garter clasp, the button portion of which is a translucent vinyl-like material.
