I can't breathe!

While I don't regret buying it, I doubt I'll be wearing it for very long ever, and probably not very often. My boyfriend loves it, but I can't deal with the constant strangulation. Too bad for him!

useful review
I've been eying this dress for months, so with some saved up points, I took the plunge and bought it. Its design is definitely not for everyone, it's very edgy and sexy in a tough way (if that makes any sense to anyone else?) but I love the way it looks. The way it fits, however...is a slightly different story. Let's move on to the review...

This arrived in a little Music Legs paperboard package, pink, with the stock photos we have here on Eden printed on it. Very cute, practical packaging---this dress loses no points in that department.

When I took the dress out of the package, however, I felt my heart sink. It looked practically see-through, and more like a pair of tights than a dress. I sadly unfolded it and prepared to put it on, assuming the dress was going to look horrible.

Putting this on is, not going to lie, a HUGE pain in the ass. My fingers got caught on every slash, even when I balled up my fists it still got all messed up. My boyfriend had to help me put this on, amidst me screaming, "I can't breathe! I can't breathe! I'm choking!" the entire time. (The neck hole on this needs to be about twice the size it is.) As soon as it was on, I heard some threads break, and I looked over the garment but nothing appeared to have torn. I guess that speaks for the quality of this item...Yeah. Not great.

Moving on!
Somehow, this DOESN'T go sheer when it's on! I was shocked and amazed! Despite being slightly blue in the face from lack of oxygen, this looked great on me! The biggest slash around the stomach area is a little unflattering, even on my mostly-flat stomach, so that's something to think about before buying this. My intention is to wear this over a bright-colored tank top or something, so I wasn't too concerned with that aspect, but if you're buying this as a sexy, lingerie piece...you've been warned.

Lastly, this is nowhere near dress-length on me. I know I have a very long torso and I'm about 5'7" but still. The material is so clingy I can't imagine this being a dress on anyone, unless maybe they're less than 5' tall and weigh, like, 80 pounds. This also might have the potential to get itchy!

Anyway, I can't be too upset about this not fitting very well. (even though plenty of "OSFM" things fit me well!) It was a cheap item that frankly, looks and feels cheap. I'll get some use out of it but definitely not much. Fun for every once in awhile.
Follow-up commentary
While I still think this is an awesome-LOOKING piece, it's just not practical. I wore this today and it took me quite a big chunk of time to get into---the arms had gotten twisted and you had to individually pull the arm through each slit. Sooo annoying.

I ended up cutting small slits in the neck to keep from feeling strangled, but even then, this was highly uncomfortable. Boo :(
